From the north side of Platja de Lloret beach, you can walk about 20 minutes to the upper town (called Lloret de Dalt) to visit the discrete remains of a Roman tomb dating from the second century AD. In fact this tomb, which unfortunately was demolished in 1967 with the urn containing the remains of the unknown person buried, and rebuilt with the same materials a year later, is located in an ancient necropolis in this place called Can Avellaners de Can Sala, where today nothing is preserved. The tower was discovered and excavated in 1891.
