Imagine a place where travelling through time, back to the past. Tossa de Mar is something like an outdoor museum. Its prehistoric remains from roman Turissa go through the medieval Tursa into modern Tossa. Once a meeting point for intellectuals (Marc Chagall, Picasso), now a very beloved touristic destination, Tossa de Mar is one of the most beautiful village in the Costa Brava.
Tossa de Mar is one of those typical coastal towns of the Empordà, where we find the pines growing and reaching sea, almost touching the water.
Tossa's economy, some centuries ago, was based on the cork and wine industry. However, the filming of 'Pandora' in 1950 (starring Ava Gardner), parallel to the beginning of the village as a tourist destination on the Costa Brava, turned this beautiful coastal location into one of the best known around the world. For this reason tourism has become the main economic engine of the town during last decades.
Tossa's origins are pre-Roman. Known as Turissa, it enjoys an exceptional geographic location, situated between Lloret de Mar (south) and Sant Feliu de Guixols (north). To get there you must take the road GI-682, which passes through the two mentioned locations. Both coming from Lloret and from Sant Feliu, the views from the road are fantastic. It is almost obligatory stop at one of the many panoramic viewpoints marked through the edge of the road to watch and take pictures of the views of the creeks that are visible from there. Through this way you can access beautiful and spectacular beaches such as Cala Giverola, Cala del Senyor Raimon, Cala Vallpresona, Cala Canyet, etc.
From Roman times Tossa still keeps the villa of Els Ametllers, located in av. of Pelegri, 3-5, near the Torre de Sant Magí (St. Magí Tower). Discovered by Dr. Ignasi Melee in 1914, it has its origin in the first century BC and was inhabited until the sixth century AD. It's really a great honor to Tossa to have one of the best towns in the former province of Tarraco, which has survived until today. In els Ametllers the owners cultivated grapes and exported wine to the rest of the Roman Empire. It is therefore a classic example of farming in the Mediterranean area dominated by the Romans.
Already in the center of town, you have to visit the walled enclosure, which is exactly the Vila Vella de Tossa. Listed as National Historic-Artistic Monument by the Spanish government, its walls now represent the only example of a fortified medieval town on the Catalan coast. It is composed of seven watchtowers (including, for example, d'en Joan, Codolar and Heures).
It is highly recommended to walk through the streets of this small walled area and get to the Faro de Tossa (Tossa Lighthouse), which overlooks a magnificent view of the rocky coastline south of village.
Tossa Lighthouse (1917), located on the highest part of the Vila Vella de Tossa has become the Lighthouse Interpretation Centre (Centro de Interpretación de Faros) of our coastline. This innovative equipment in the museum domain is a point of reference for all those interested in the world of maritime signals. It is an audiovisual center, adapted to visitors in several languages that teaches us the history and the different technologies used in the world of lighthouses and the lifestyle of their guardians, the lighthouse keepers. The space devoted to museum gives us the chance to see different parts of this maritime heritage.
Outside the Walls, bounded by the streets Portal and Estolt, you find the district of Sa Roqueta, a traditional place of fishermen formed in the first stage of Tossa urban expansion, back in the XVI century. Further, following the street Portal, is the commercial center of town.
The walk along the seafront of Tossa, from the walls to the beach of Mar Menuda is also a nice experience. This tour will allow you to enjoy the sea and the spectacular views of the Cape of Tossa and the fortified ancient villa previously described.
The Municipal Museum, housed in the Batlle Palace, bears testimony to the passage through Tossa of Marc Chagall, André Masson, Joaquim Sunyer and other painters captivated by this landscape.
Tossa boasts fine beaches such as Llorell and Morisca, and one of the most beautiful stretches on this coastline: the road to Sant Feliu de Guíxols (twenty-five kilometres of bend after bend) through the coves of Salions, Futadera, Giverola and Pola.

El personal de la recepción muy amable. Muy poca limpieza. En los pasillos se podía ver muchísima suciedad, la piscina estaba sucia. La habitación tampoco estaba muy limpia y eso que pasamos por una habitación que estaban limpiando y se les veía a varias personas, una con la aspiradora y otra con las ventanas. Pero lo que no entiendo si esas mismas personas están viendo como está de sucio el pasillo como no lo limpian¿? me daban ganas de salir con la escoba a limpiarlo yo misma. Las almohadas tenían pelos y no eran nuestros. Las colchas las levantabas y estaban manchadas por debajo (parecía pintura). La verdad es que no hemos estado cómodos por la limpieza. A parte todos los muebles son muy viejos, en mal estado, hay mal olor en las habitaciones, creo que es por los muebles tan viejos. No repetiremos. |

Расположение. Расположен в "спальной" части города. По вечерам тихо, но до "тусовочной" части города идти не более 5 минут. До моря 800 метров, причем отель расположен приблизительно на уровне моря, не нужно пилить в горку/с горки. До крупнейшего в городе супермаркета DIA 100 метров. Стоянки в этой части города бесплатные, всегда есть место где приткнуть машину на обочине, либо на охраняемой стоянке напротив отеля за 5 евро в сутки. Бассейн. Один из самых больших среди всех отелей Тоссы. Есть "детская" и "взрослая" зоны. Взрослая - 2 м. глубиной. Есть где поплавать и понырять с бортиков. Завтраки. Очень приличные завтраки. На горячее - яичница с жареным беконом, чуррос с шоколадом, + сыр-ветчина-колбаса-мюсли-выпечка-фрукты. Присутствует кофе-автомат. Номер - обыкновенный номер с маленькой кухней, где есть минимум всего необходимого. В наличие балкон с видом на бассейн. Wifi - коннект нормальный, входит в стоимость номера. Чистенько, аккуратненько. Позиционируется как двушка, я был дал рейтинг 2+. При заезде, сказали что наш номер залило водой во время грозы и предложили поменять на другой отель по системе все включено. Мы решительно отказались, так как нужна была кухня, после чего дополнительный номер быстро нашелся. Думаю, что это был овербукинг, а не "гроза". |

Poolen var ok för barn och med rolig design Fin och ren tomt omkring pool med massa solbäddar. Vägen från stranden till Hotellet är ca 10 minuter men är längs med fina butiker och floden (utan vatten på sommaren). Ingen problem för dem som kan gå en bit. Annars finns det taxi. Sängar i själva sovrummet var superdåligt...saknades en bäddmadrass! Alla kommer att känna av de tiotals stenhårda spiraler i madrassen...2a natten la jag på 4 stycken badlaken (mat stor) och därmed var det lite bättre att sova. Aldrig varit med om detta...! Bädsoffan var helt ok för barnen. Badrummet såg lite sliten ut och själva duschen sprutade vatten..inte riktigt bekväm. Personal: lite oproffessionella och dem lyckas inte att skapa en relation med gäster. Lite opersonligt alltså. |

Bien situado y económico. Piscina grande con socorrista. Personal muy agradable y servicial. Aire acondicionado potente, aunque sin posibilidad de regulación. Supermercado "nacional" (DIA) a 10 metros del hotel que abre los 7 días de la semana. Facilidad de aparcamiento en los alrededores sin pagar parking ni ORA (el fin de semana cuesta algo más aparcar). Los estudios son muy pequeños, puede llegar a agobiar. El Hotel es barato pero lo compensan con los servicios que ofrecen (restaurante, limpieza, etc.) que son muy caros. Desayunar por ejemplo cuesta al menos 5€/persona. La limpieza no está incluida (o limpias tú mismo o pagas 5-6€ al día extras), las toallas las cambian cada 4-5 días y te dan 2 rollos de papel higiénico para 9 días. |

La beauté de la ville dans son écrin de pinède bordée par la mer. L'hotel est bien situé, au calme tout en étant à proximité de tout et dans un cadre verdoyant. Belle piscine. Bonne literie. Cet aparthotel vient d'ouvrir de nouveau après quelques temps de fermeture. Alors tout n'est pas encore au point, le personnel est aimable et dévoué. Il faudrait nettoyer les couloirs d'accès aux logements et passer un jet autour de la piscine plutôt que d'utiliser le balai. Bouilloire mais pas de cafetière ni de tire-bouchon. |

Si buscas un apartamento baratito, sin lujos pero cómodo y tranquilo, alejado del bullicio de la primera línea de mar pero a solo 10 min de la playa y el centro de Tossa ¡este es tu alojamiento!. Con una piscina bastante grande, en una zona residencial, tranquila y con supermercado a 2min.Estuvimos en el apartamento para 4, solo una noche, todo correcto. Por poner algo que el menaje de cocina es bastante justito. La hora de salida según el hotel es a las 10h. nosotras les dijimos que en la reserva con booking nos ponía a las 12h y no hubo problemas. De todas formas nos dieron a entender que en la web estaba mal puesto. Preguntad antes de ir! |

Приветливый и отзывчивый персонал отеля. Удаленность от шумного берега. Бюджетный супермаркет (типа Пятерочки) совсем рядом. Номера 320, 220 (для 4 человек, угловые) имеют отличный вид и нет шумных балконных соседей. С точки зрения бюджетного семейного отеля - идеальный вариант. Бассейн большой. Стоянка для машин в этой части города бесплатная(ставил у обочины). Моя рекомендация: только для бюджетных или самостоятельных туристов, с детьми В номере нет ножа, чайник без автоотключения, в номере не прибираются (+5Евро). Двери и окна не плотные(дешевые) слышен коридор и соседей по балкону (для не угловых комнат). Все эти недостатки для меня - НЕ КРИТИЧНЫЕ. Соотношение цена/качество отличное. |
