The International Circus Festival Figueres takes place over a long weekend in February in Dali's hometown. It has become in a few years the largest festival of its kind in Spain and the third in Europe. Much of its success lies in the quality of its shows, performed by artists from almost every part of the world, and their great training. The performances have a competitive nature, as the Elephant awards go to the best ones.
