Harvesting Natural Cork is a popular feast celebrated in Llofriu woods, in Palafrugell, Costa Brava center, the saturday before St. John festivity. Cork was a main industry in this zone during the last centuries, because these woods are plenty of cork oaks. From Llofriu center people go to the woods to see the men cutting the bark, and then having lunch together. Afterwards, in the center village, we'll see the craftsmen working this material to create wine corks and other objects.
