The Natural Park of the Empordà Wetlands is now a protected area of great ecological value. It has three main areas: Ponds Reserve (formed by extensive reed bed and flood meadows) les Llaunes Reserve (with coastal lagoons and dunes) and Caramany Island Reserve (located in the middle of the river Fluvia, with a large number of nesting birds, including storks). At the entrance reception office, the Cortalet, visitors will be indicated on the paths to be followed through the Park. Highly recommended activity for the whole family, especially children.
