This charming restored hotel dates from 1924. It offers fantastic views from its terrace over Empordà and the beautiful Bay of Roses. The outdoor pool is in the former Sant Agustí Convent, next to the hotel.
The hotel restaurant specializes in traditional Catalan cuisine, which is served on the terrace or in arches of the dining room.
The surrounding area of the Alt Empordà is one of the most beautiful in all of Catalonia. It has secluded cove beaches and impressive small cities such as Figueres and Roses – famous for both their art and cuisine.
Hotel Canet is in Castelló d'Empúries
Castelló d’Empúries, the chief town of Empordà in the Middle Ages, now combines its history, as the seat of an earldom, with a thriving agriculture.
Life goes on slowly there. Vestiges of its past include the old prison (in use until recently), the Jewish quarter (or call), the trade market (or Llotja), the Counts’ Palace, convents and monasteries, walls, mansions, and the Gothic Church of Santa Maria.
The church, which has a Romanesque belfry, is the size of a basilica because the town aspired to become an episcopal see. This never happened but it is still known as “the Cathedral of Empordà”. Its large organ has an exceptionally fine sound. A renowned Medieval Festival is held in Castelló each September.

Peaceful location, minimal traffic due to narrow streets. Walking distance to range of cafes, bars, restaurants, quaint historic sites and play parks for the kids. Prison well worth a visit too. As previous visitors on a number of occasions, the proprietor, his family and long-serving staff treat us a friends. Breakfasting on the roof terrace on a sunny morning is an unforgettable experience. The restaurant serves wonderful Catalan food and if you don't mind a restricted choice, the menu del dia is excellent value. First-timers should be aware that the hotel's location in the mediaeval heart of the town may make it difficult to find. Driepersoonskamer heel ruim en comfortabel. Tweepersoonskamer absoluut veel te klein en daardoor duur voor wat je krijgt. Met grote wagen is rijden in stadje en vooral parkeren niet voor de hand liggend. Hotel is een beetje een doolhof met aaneenschakeling van gangetjes en kamertjes, maar het heeft wel een zekere charme. |

La ubicación del hotel, està en el centro del pueblo. El desayuno buffet libre estaba bien, se servía en la terraza del cuarto piso con mucha luz. Había parking en las cercanías. La habitación que nos tocó estaba en el 3r piso muy pequeña contando que ibamos con un bebè y teníamos que colocar la cuna viaje y el cochecito. La cama necesitaba un colchon nuevo, ya que hacía mucho ruido solo sentarse en él. La piscina era bonita al encontrarse en un antiguo convento però las hamacas eran un poco escasas comparado con la cantidad de gente que se alojaba en el hotel. |

La situation dans le vieux village, sa jolie piscine, le calme, le confort des lits, la sdb, la qualité du restaurant (excellent) et du service (digne d'un Parador), le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec vue sur le village. Rien. Il faut juste savoir que la piscine ne se situe pas dans l'hôtel mais à quelques dizaines de mètres (tout comme le parking) mais elle est tellement jolie entourée de ces vieilles pierres et de palmiers ! |

Le côté typique, c'est plus sympa qu'un bloc de béton en bord de plage. La terrasse panoramique pour prendre le petit déjeuner (avec un vrai jus d'orange ! Très rare en Espagne !). La piscine non attenante au coeur d'un ancien couvent. La difficulté pour se rendre à l'hôtel. |

Situation excellente dans le village plein de charme de Castello d'Empuries, entre Figueras et Cadaques. Très pratique pour visiter la région. L'ensemble des prestations est tout à fait correct, hôtel, restaurant, petit-déjeuner sur le toit en terrase de l'hôtel, piscine dans patio à quelques mètres. Bel établissement. Chambre pour 4 personnes un peu étriquée . Vue sur une arrière-cours pas vraiment photogénique! Dommage car tout les reste est très bien. |

Beliggeheden ! Fantastisk lille by med masser af historisk bygninger, smalle gader og ligeledes små lækker Tapas restauranter. Lige hvad man tænker når man siger Spanien. Chambre pour 4 personnes un peu étriquée . Vue sur une arrière-cours pas vraiment photogénique! Dommage car tout les reste est très bien. |

Hôtel bien situé dans un petit village médiéval tranquille, assez central par rapport aux lieux de visite (Cadaquez, Figueres...). Propre et bien tenu, jolie terrasse sur le toit, belle piscine à quelque pas de l’hôtel, et excellent restaurant! Le personnel est très professionnel, et sympathique. Un beau séjour! Certaines chambres sont assez petites et très mal insonorisées (on entend les discussions des voisins comme s'ils étaient dans la chambre) mais le responsable est très arrangeant et nous a proposé une autre chambre qui convenait très bien et nous a offert les taxes de séjour (ça n'est pas grand chose mais c'est de plus en plus rare...), apparemment ces chambres vont être rénovées prochainement |

Le petit déjeuner en terrasse. Le fonctionnement de la clim bruyante et irrégulière. Les chambres pas équipées pour 3 personnes ( alors que j'en avais fait la demande auprès de booking ). |
