Located on the Costa Brava, Hotel Silvia is in Empuriabrava, Europe’s largest residential marina. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with a private bathroom.
Staff at reception can provide information about what to see and do in Catalunya’s Alt Empordà region. There is a parachuting centre 200 metres from the hotel, and there are tennis courts less than 5 minutes’ walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
The beautiful Cap de Creus Nature Reserve is just 15 minutes’ drive away. It is also a 15-minute drive away to the Salvador Dalí Museum in Figueres. You can drive to Girona Airport in 45 minutes.

Santa Margarida and Empuriabrava are two large residential marinas built in the 1960s with navigable canals and an aerodrome, which is known internationally as a centre for parachute jumping. These tourist facilities – on land, sea and air – are in sharp contrast to the peace and quiet of the nearby wetlands.
The Empordà Marshes Natural Park is a haven to over 300 species of migrating birds on their annual flights from Europe to Africa. It is a blend of natural and man-made landscapes: lagoons, pastureland enclosed by irrigation ditches and canals, and farmhouses.
The presence of storks, flamingos, ducks and other species makes it a must for any birdlover, but those who just like strolling through fine scenery will also enjoy it.

The room was reasonably clean - No WIFI in the whole hotel as promised - There was no breakfast in the morning, all though they did have a sign that said breakfast cost €3,50. When I asked about it the receptionist told me I should have asked for breakfast. However she never told me this. - The people didn't speak English only Russian or Spanish - The hotel borders a pretty bussy street but the rooms do not have double glass - The walls of the room were paper thin so I could literally hear the neighbours speak. - It seemed more like a money laundring scam than a hotel. -When I complained about the WIFI, they told me I could check out immediately if I wasn't happy. |

La tv solo tenia 3 canales, uno en frances, uno en español y otro en ruso, es decir, como si no la te ndrias, y me cobran un impuesto de 0,50 cts por persona es decir 1,50 y encima no me han dado factura, al recepcionista le pedi la factura y aun me puso mala cara, pero al final no me la dio, creo que eso es ilegal.nunca volvere a ese hotel, lamentable. Le lit était totalement inconfortable. La télé ne comptait que 3 chaines: disney channel en anglais, TMC en français et une chaine espagnole. la mauvaise isolation des murs et de l Hotel en général ;mais sachant que celui çi est a vendre je peux comprendre que le propriétaire ne veut pas faire de frais. |
