Set just 150 metres from the beach and 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Roses, Camping Joncar Mar features an outdoor pool, on-site restaurant and modern bungalows, apartments and mobile homes.
All the accommodation comes with a private terrace area and flat-screen satellite TV. It also includes a kitchenette with a hob, microwave and fridge, as well as a private bathroom with free toiletries.
The campsite offers a bar with free Wi-Fi access, as well as a small shop. Dining options can be found within a 5-minute walk of Joncar Mar.
The pretty town of Cadaqués is 30 minutes’ drive away. Girona Airport can be reached in just under an hour by car. Free parking is available at the campsite.
Camping Joncar Mar is in Roses
South of the Albera Range, Roses Bay forms a deep inlet in the coastline some 15 km long, with long sandy beaches and marshland. It is bounded by the Cap de Creus peninsula to the north and the Montgrí massif to the south.
Rhode and Emporion, located at either end of the bay, were the gateways through which Greek culture entered the country. Both have developed into major tourist resorts: Roses in the north and L’Escala to the south.
Roses is the charming fishing village of Alt Empordà that welcomes visitors to the doors of the Cap de Creus Natural Park (Parc Natural del Cap de Creus).
The origins of Roses date back the VIII century BC, with the arrival and establishment of the Rhodian, originating from the Greek island of Rhodes. Its name comes from this origins. Trade and the Roman occupation of this place have made a melting pot that explains the mood of a very modern, open, active and generous population.
Roses touristic points of interest are many and very different among them. Faced with the great natural landscapes that offer their creeks: Cala Montjoi, Cala Canyelles, Cala Jóncols, Cala Murtra, Cala Lledó, Cala Rustella, etc. you can also find cultural highlights of great interest as the route of the dolmens (dolmen Creu d'en Cobertella, Llit de la Generala, Cap de l'Home, Casa Cremada), also the Museum of Ciutadella (Citadel), the Castle of Santa Trinitat, Roses the Lighthouse and many other. Roses also has the largest fishing port in northern Costa Brava.
The cultural and musical offer of Roses is extensive and includes lectures, rock and blues festivals, exhibitions, concerts of various types of music and more. In summer the village hosts one of the major music festivals in the Costa Brava: Sons of Món (Sound of the World).
he best time to stroll by the harbour, one of the busiest on the Costa Brava, is in the evening, when the fishing boats sail in with their escort of gulls.
The terraces are an invitation to sit and chat, while the fortified precinct of the Ciutadella, built in the 16th century by Charles V to protect the region from pirates, merits a leisurely visit. Inside this vast fortress are the remains of the Greek colony of Rhode, founded in the 4th century BC, and the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria. All kinds of water sports can be practised at Roses, off the town’s own beaches of fine sand and in the coves of L’Almadrava, Montjoi and Jòncols.
If you are interested in nature walks and tours Roses offers well marked and accessible ones, through an exceptional nature resulting from the combination of sea and mountains.
The coast of Roses is full of contrasts. You'll find many cliffs overlooking the sea, but also quiet creeks with clear and shallow waters, soft sand, providing ideal conditions for practicing water sports like kayaking, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, paragliding, etc. For all these reasons, the family fun in this village at the foot of Cape Creus is guaranteed.
The name of Roses has been linked in recent years to the figure of the excellent chef Ferran Adrià, worldwide well-known for its innovative cuisine. Its famous restaurant, El Bulli, located in the idyllic Cala Montjoi, has become the El Bulli Foundation, a center of culinary research.

Stayed for one night in February. Very friendly, helpful staff, good spacious apartment, clean, very well equipped kitchen, modern, VERY good price (we paid 36 for 2 bedrooms - double bed, and a bunk bed and single in other room). Slightly funny location above a restaurant (which was shut), but less than 100m from beach, so cannot complain. Some corners of aptment not cleaned, maybe left dormant through winter...). |

le mobilhome vraiment au top: propre, moderne, confortable (canapé d'angle, lits...), clim réversible, petite terrasse en teck, stores roulants, fermeture porte d'entrée par carte,...le camping à 2mn à pied de la plage, l'accueil très cordial et gentil...la place de parking pas loin du mobilhome, la vue des fenêtres des chambres sur un mur à moins de 1 mètre, la proximité des mobilhomes les uns sur les autres(heureusement, on était quasi seul à cette époque de l'année!), sinon, ras!!!c'était très très correct pour le prix(promo: 70 euros pour 2 nuits à 4!!!) |

Está localizado junto al Paseo de Rosas y la playa, lo cual es muy práctico. Se puede ir con la mascota y eso hay que valorarlo porque no hay muchos campings que te admitan el perro en el bungalow, por lo menos en Cataluña y en España. Que los bungslows están muy cerca el uno del otro |

La ubicacion es perfecta, a 1 min de la playa y a 5 min andando del centro de rosas. Parking privado gratuito. Supermercados cercanos si se va en coche. En los bungalows no hay ropa de cama ni edredones. Tampoco jabon en el baño ni en la cocina. |

La situación es muy buena, cerca de la playa y del centro de roses. El recepcionista de la tarde-noche muy atento y servicial con algunos problemillas q tuvimos y por ello nos ofrecieron quedarnos hasta las 17h. Es de agradecer Al llegar nos dieron la mobil-home sin limpiar y sin la bolsita de bienvenida. Nada más comentarlo nos mandaron a la chica pero deberían tenerlo en cuenta antes de entregarlas. A la tarde cuando llegamos teníamos la cocina, la comida de encima de los muebles y las camas llenas de hormigas. Fulmigaron con spray pero de la olor pedimos un cambio y nos lo dieron pero no salió de ellos. El otro mobil home era más antiguo y con sólo un radiador de calefacción. Las camas más incómodas. Y el bar fuimos dos veces y para estos días estaba todo cerrado. |

Tot i que diu que té calefactor, aquest és fix entre la cuina i el bany i no arriba a escalfar l'habitació on es troba, ja no parlem del bungalow sencer. Les mantes insuficients. Vam necessitar totes les del bungalow en un sol llit, i de tota manera no s'acabava d'estar bé, si haguéssim anat més d'una parella (bungalow per 6 persones) ens hi hauriem gelat. |

La terraza del Loft en verano debe ser útil, en invierno no. La limpieza, al llegar estaba todo sucio, con pelos en la cama, paredes manchadas de?? Utensilios de cocina sucios, sin estropajo ni jabón, ni toallas ni trapos ni nada. Nos quedamos sin agua caliente porque el termo eléctrico no funcionaba bien. Nos fuimos después de la primera noche, eso sí, nos devolvieron el dinero íntegro. No hay mesa ni sillas para comer, tuvimos que entrar las de la terraza...La verdad, penoso!. |
