This is a very important place in "Costa Brava" brand creation. In fact, it was born here, next to this chapel from XVth century. In 1908 the catalan journalist Ferran Agulló, inspired by the rocky landscape you can see from this location, coined the term "Costa Brava" to this entire area. A monolith on the esplanade remembers this event. More than 100 years later, the same impressive vision can be seen to the south as spectacular as Agulló saw it more than hundred years ago.
