The Terraza’s air conditioned rooms have simple décor. They also feature satellite TV and a fully equipped bathroom.

Terraza is in Roses
South of the Albera Range, Roses Bay forms a deep inlet in the coastline some 15 km long, with long sandy beaches and marshland. It is bounded by the Cap de Creus peninsula to the north and the Montgrí massif to the south.
Rhode and Emporion, located at either end of the bay, were the gateways through which Greek culture entered the country. Both have developed into major tourist resorts: Roses in the north and L’Escala to the south.
Roses is the charming fishing village of Alt Empordà that welcomes visitors to the doors of the Cap de Creus Natural Park (Parc Natural del Cap de Creus).
The origins of Roses date back the VIII century BC, with the arrival and establishment of the Rhodian, originating from the Greek island of Rhodes. Its name comes from this origins. Trade and the Roman occupation of this place have made a melting pot that explains the mood of a very modern, open, active and generous population.
Roses touristic points of interest are many and very different among them. Faced with the great natural landscapes that offer their creeks: Cala Montjoi, Cala Canyelles, Cala Jóncols, Cala Murtra, Cala Lledó, Cala Rustella, etc. you can also find cultural highlights of great interest as the route of the dolmens (dolmen Creu d'en Cobertella, Llit de la Generala, Cap de l'Home, Casa Cremada), also the Museum of Ciutadella (Citadel), the Castle of Santa Trinitat, Roses the Lighthouse and many other. Roses also has the largest fishing port in northern Costa Brava.
The cultural and musical offer of Roses is extensive and includes lectures, rock and blues festivals, exhibitions, concerts of various types of music and more. In summer the village hosts one of the major music festivals in the Costa Brava: Sons of Món (Sound of the World).
he best time to stroll by the harbour, one of the busiest on the Costa Brava, is in the evening, when the fishing boats sail in with their escort of gulls.
The terraces are an invitation to sit and chat, while the fortified precinct of the Ciutadella, built in the 16th century by Charles V to protect the region from pirates, merits a leisurely visit. Inside this vast fortress are the remains of the Greek colony of Rhode, founded in the 4th century BC, and the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria. All kinds of water sports can be practised at Roses, off the town’s own beaches of fine sand and in the coves of L’Almadrava, Montjoi and Jòncols.
If you are interested in nature walks and tours Roses offers well marked and accessible ones, through an exceptional nature resulting from the combination of sea and mountains.
The coast of Roses is full of contrasts. You'll find many cliffs overlooking the sea, but also quiet creeks with clear and shallow waters, soft sand, providing ideal conditions for practicing water sports like kayaking, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, paragliding, etc. For all these reasons, the family fun in this village at the foot of Cape Creus is guaranteed.
The name of Roses has been linked in recent years to the figure of the excellent chef Ferran Adrià, worldwide well-known for its innovative cuisine. Its famous restaurant, El Bulli, located in the idyllic Cala Montjoi, has become the El Bulli Foundation, a center of culinary research.

I had a ocean view room that was very nice the staff were very polite And helpful I ate in the restaurant and the staff and food were wonderful traveling on my own I didn't feel alone, I had a very enjoyable stay and would recomend staying here again but for me having a sea view and having the sound of the ocean helped lull me off to a great nights sleep, I would recomend this hotel highly as a excellent welcoming haven and will certainly be booking in again in the not to distant future with my wife as we drive from the UK to our holiday home in Andalucia a genuine family owned and run hotel with that personal touch you just don't get in the larger chain hotels, Thank you The shower in the bathroom a little awkward to use and could possibly need updating in certain areas this said I'm being picky and you could smell cigaret smoke in certain areas not in my room I may add.(this is Spain after all) |

This is or second time staying at Terraza!!! I am from Hawaii. I missed the ocean. Both of our stays here, our rooms 100 meters from the Med Sea.. the sound of the waves wonderful. This trip we treated ourselves to a Suite. Wonderfully designed...Light canceling drapes made sleeping in easy. The hotel located walking distance to many restaurants...great to sit and watch the sunset on your balcony. Staff very friendly. WE will stay here whenever in Roses!! The Jacuzzi needs to be hotter...They could improve on the ammenities in the bathrooms..Robes need to be softer...too rough...breakfast..Eggs are ony sunny up..no ther choice..Too runny for me..Need to offer scramble or omlelets as well. otherwize..great.! |

Excellent hotel, hard to fault anything. No hidden extras like with some other places - use of safe, spa facilities, parking, mineral water in mini bar, daily sun lounger towels, wifi - all included. Excellent restaurant. Hotel 10 seconds walk from the beach! Very friendly staff - not all with great English, but reception spoke English well. But then the town of Roses is more geared for Spanish and French holidaymakers anyway. Overall, one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Highly recommend. Very minor points - Toilet was a small frosted glass door away from main bedroom. A bit strange at first, but you get used to it. No iron available, but only 25EUR in town and you have a decent one! |

Situation parfaite au centre de Rosas. Du balcon des chambres on a une vue magnifique sur la baie .L'hotel est sur la plage avec un jardin privatif équipe de transats Le personnel est très aimable. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est excellent. Je retournerai dans cet hôtel avec plaisir. Mon bémol est la qualité du matelas assez médiocre. Dommage pour un hôtel de ce standing. |

la ubicacion , el jardin las instalaciones, practicamente todo, el personal. por el precio que cuesta la estancia del hotel (197 euros la noche ,), no puedo aceptar que no tengas ni un miserable cepillo de dientes ,que vale 20 centimos,una botellita de champu o un gel que no sea a granel.es que ni en el spa habia nada., no hablemos del mini bar daba ganas de llorar........ estas ridiculeces que practicamente no tienen ningun valor , le quitan un valor que es muy de agradecer en estos tipos de escapadas , que no llevas demasiado equipaje |

La situation géographique, en front de mer, sur la promenade piétonnière, à 5 minutes à pieds du centre ville, donc proche, et donc pas dans les bruits de la ville. Le spa sur le toit de l'hôtel, très agréable et bien entretenu. Accueil très pro, personnel à l'écoute, chaleureux. Toujours au moins 1 ascenseur qui attend, porte ouverte, au rez de chaussée. Buffet du petit déjeuner de très bonne qualité, même les viennoiseries, pour lesquelles les espagnols ne sont pas toujours réputés. Parking couvert disponible soit devant la réception, soit en sous-sol, sans supplément. Petite piscine extérieure, mais très jolie, surtout le soir avec les éclairages qui changent de couleur. Jardins très agréable, avec transat, même si, et c'est malheureusement partout pareil, certains clients, par peur de ne pouvoir se poser dans la journée, réservent leurs transats en posant leur serviette dessus, alors qu'ils n'y sont que quelques heures par ci par là..... Mais bon, cela tient de la nature humaine et non de l'hôtel..... La salle de bain un peu trop "simple", petite baignoire avec pare-douche peu utile. |
