Raco de Mar offers easy access to L’Estartit Beach, just 200 metres away. This small guest house has rooms with balconies and a terrace.
Each of the Raco’s simple rooms is brightly decorated. All accommodation has a private bathroom.
Guests can enjoy a drink in the Raco’s bar, where there is free Wi-Fi access. A daily breakfast is served in the dining room. All public areas are air conditioned.
The town of L’Estartit has a picturesque setting at the foot of the Montgrí Massif Mountains, and is close to a selection of beaches, including Platja d’Aro. The pretty coastal towns of Roses and Cadaqués are an hour’s drive away.

Near Torroella, L’Estartit was a fishermen’s district until the 19th century.
Today it is a popular holiday destination with a bustling marina. The archipelago of seven small islands, known as the Medes Islands, constitutes an important ecological reserve and a hugely popular destination among divers. It features a protected coral reserve and glass-bottom boats travel back and forth to the islands.
North of L’Estartit, where the Montgrí massif meets the sea, rise the highest cliffs in Catalonia (100 metres high) with navigable tunnels such as La Foradada, only accessible by sea and hiking trails.
To the south, at the mouths of the Ter and Daró rivers, hikers can enjoy spectacular trails through salt lakes and mobile dunes.

The hotel is handling by a friendly catalan family. I felt like at home. The hotel is close to the shopping street, a bank (La Caixa), a supermarket (Despar) and you can reach the beach in 5-10 minutes. The free parking is located on the beach. Some restaurants have the lunch and dinner menu. We find the price a little bit expensive: the room is very clean but it is very basic: no television, no air conditioniong, the breakfast is not included (you have to pay 4-5 eur more for day). The room is big and it has a little terrace. However we enjoyed the 2 days in the hotel. |

La amabilidad del personal y la situación del hostal. Buen sitio para pasar un par de días en la costa si lo único que buscas es un sitio cómodo, limpio y simple para dormir. La habitación era muy amplia y la cama cómoda. Aunque los muebles y la decoración eran muy viejos y austeros. Tampoco había tele. Aunque fuimos para el puente de Agosto y los precios suben estos días, la relación calidad-precio me pareció que no se ajustaba mucho a la realidad. Un poco caro para lo que es. |
