Hotel Mercedes is in Lloret de Mar
Lloret de Mar is a tourist village on the south Costa Brava with so many services as Platja d'Aro. However, the conversion of Lloret into one of the main resorts on the Costa Brava has not made it forget its own origins, which are brilliantly preserved and that are shown proudly to those wishing to spend their holidays in this extraordinary zone of the coast.
What was once a fishing village that developed on a long beach stretching from Sa Caravera to Sa Caleta has changed considerably. The town also features beaches (Cala Canyelles and Sa Somera to the north, and Fenals and Santa Cristina to the south), period houses on the seafront promenade, a boat procession held in July during which flower-decked boats carry the relics of Santa Cristina, and history showcased in the Museum of the Sea, located in the Indiano (i.e. built with money made in the Americas) building known as Can Garriga and containing an extensive collection of model ships. Lloret, a popular tourist destination among English and German young people, has a large concentration of accommodation options and tourist facilities, including a casino. An impressively large Roman tomb is found at the entrance
to the town.
The offer of Lloret de Mar aimed at those who love beaches and creeks is generous. Next to the center of town is Lloret Beach (Platja de Lloret), the longest in the village. Getting to it will be very easy, even if by car, since parking is available opposite the beach. This is a beach of fine white sand that has all the necessary facilities for bathers: sun beds and umbrellas rentals, water skiing, kayaking, restaurants, showers, etc.
Another beach, a little out of the center is Cala Canyelles, accessible from the road to Tossa de Mar. It is the only beach in Lloret de Mar that has a port. It's also covered by white sand, so typical in the Costa Brava as the golden sand, and is surrounded by a thick forest of pines, which makes this environment very attractive.
Other beaches of Lloret de Mar, also well-known, are Fenals Beach (Platja de Fenals, that can be reached by a coast walkway), Sa Caleta Beach, Boadella Creek, Santa Cristina Beach (the latter situated between two hills, is protected from wind and waves, so it is a very sheltered beach) and Treumal Beach.
The center also offers some important points of interest that worth a visit. Next to Boadella Creek on a cliff line, you can find Santa Clotilde Gardens, designed in Italian Renaissance style and that has a certain resemblance to the Boboli or Giusti ones, in Italy.
Other sites of interest are the Sant Joan Castle (the interior can be visited), the Casa Cabañas, the Monument of Apollo and Daphne, the Source of Canaletas, the Sardana monument, and the monument to the to the Sailor's Wife, located in the southern part of Playa de Lloret.

Was within walking distance of everything - bus station, beach and centre. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, including a small supermarket right across the road. After reading comments about the food we were a bit nervous but it was fine. Breakfast was a selection of bread, cereal, pastries, cold meat and cheese. Buffet dinner was ok but not great, plenty of different options but some items did not feel as fresh or hot as they could. But for the price (€8.50) was fine. The evening meal was mostly inedible. The thing I liked most was the staff were friendly. Cette fois nous étions hallucinés par la chaleur de notre accueil, le bon humeur de toute l'équipe, n'importe l'heure. En effet, les serveurs donnaientt l'impression de se régaler autant que nous. Un effort très noble. Nous sommes partis suivi de bises Deux choses. La signalétique manquaient beaucoup, par rapport aux autres hôtels du quartier. Donc, il y avait une petite difficulte à répére l'hôtel la première fois. Deuxiémé, la bouffe. Mais à ces prix-là, on n'attend pas les plats ***** |

La cama muy incomoda te lebantas con un dolor de espalda alucinante, las paredes de papel nosotros a partir de las 5 de la mañana no pudimos dormir mas debido a que la gente empezo a llegar de fiesta a corretear por los pasillos i a gritar. El vater no funcionaba. En spa es pobre i viejo, solo hay una sauna claustrofobica, un jacuzzy mini i una piscina el agua olia super mal. I para acabar el desayuno un desastre muuuy poca variedad i el personal disperso i atendidos fatal. |

Par contre, des améliorations peuvent être faites pour le petit-déjeuner : on ne comprend pas en effet qu'en Espagne, pays des oranges, on nous serve un semblant de jus d'orange chimique au goût exécrable ! |

De prijs was goed. € 93,00 voor 3 nachten per kamer. Het ontbijt van € 2,00 pp en het diner €8,50 pp was goedkoop en er was voldoende keuze. De kamers zagen er mooi uit. Het personeel was klantvriendelijk en flexibel. Het hotel lag midden in het centrum waardoor je overal dichtbij bent. Het hotel is wat verouderd. De kamers waren erg gehorig. De bedden waren wat krakkemikkig. De TV was veel te klein. WiFi alleen in de lobby en niet op de kamer. Dat is in 2013 een slechte zaak! |

He realizado una escapada de fin de semana cn mi pareja y hemos quedado muy satisfechos, habitacion muy confortable y todo muy adecuado para poder descansar, tampoco esperen algo lujoso, es un hotel calidad precio, muy amable el personal. Queja, queja tmpc podria remarcar ninguna, pr hubiera agradecido q hubieran mas platos en el buffet y algun sobre mas de jabon en el lavabo, ya q solo habian 2 sobres pequeños. |
