The Costa Brava ends (or begins) in Blanes. Sa Palomera, a jagged rock between the port and the beach is the symbolic milestone. This seafaring town with a long- standing tradition of coastal shipping developed in a semi-circular bay dominated by a hill upon which the ruins of the Sant Joan Castle stand. The town has a seafront promenade and interesting historic monuments including Gothic buildings erected by the lineage of Viscounts of Cabrera, such as the mansion or the fountain on the Carrer Ample, a remarkable octagonal-shaped fountain dating from the 15th century. The Fishing Research Institute has an interesting aquarium with Mediterranean fauna.
Surrounded by the Vilar Hill (269 meters) and the San Joan Mountain (166 meters), its center lies near the end of the Tordera river. Blanes also has some of the most important beaches and coves of the Costa Brava.
Undoubtedly one of the main attractions of the city are its botanical gardens. If you love this kind of gardens or want to see its beautiful and exotic plants you should know that Blanes has two botanical gardens of great importance. The first is Marimurtra, which contains more than 3,000 species from all continents. Likewise you can also visit the Botanical Garden Pinya de Rosa, which owns, among other natural treasures, a large collection of cactus.
The historical legacy of Blanes is really interesting. In this village lived Iberians, Romans (the old place name comes from them: Blandae), feudal lords and, above all, from XIXth century the Catalan bourgeoisie, who took advantage of this excellent coastal not far from Barcelona to build some interesting villas near the sea.
However Blanes has been traditionally a fishing village. A tour through the old part of the town shows a significant architectural heritage, such as Casa de la Vila (Town Hall), dating from the XIXth century, the Fountain of the Mina Cristalina (from 1854), the Gothic Fountain (fifteenth century, the best preserved of Catalan Gothic architecture), the Plaza dels Feiners Dies (the square where the market took place in medieval times). Nor has to miss the Palace of the Viscounts of Cabrera (from the fourteenth century) and the Castle of Sant Joan, located at the top of the mountain of the same name, which also offers magnificent views of the south coast of Blanes.
Just from the top of the castle you get magnificent views of the longest sandy beach of Blanes: S'Abanell. The promontory in the middle of the beach is Sa Palomera, the first big rock that welcomes the Costa Brava, and to his right extends a long seaside boulevard which stretches almost to the end of the Tordera river. This is the most tourist area of Blanes, and offers a wide range of services to its visitors.
On the other side, behind the port, you find the cove of Santa Anna, Cala Treumal (the smallest cove, close to the botanical garden Pinya Rosa), and the Beach Sant Francesc, surrounded by an idyllic pine forest that provides easy access. Next to it is the Sant Francesc Hermitage.
Blanes, is also an interesting city that maintains an active calendar of cultural events throughout the year. The most important ones are the Interacional Fireworks Competition, the Carpets of Flowers Day (when mosaics of flowers are set up on many streets in June), the Local Festival Blanes Day (in August) and the Carnival Parade (in February).

Las paredes son tan finas que se escucha perfectamente lo que se habla en la habitación de al lado; el desayuno es tan malo que lo dejamos y nos fuimos a un bar a tomar un café con leche. Die Lage und der Blick waren sehr gut. Das ganze Hotel ist im Zustand der 70ziger Jahre. Da ist die Zeit komplett stehn geblieben. Nur die Fassade wurde erneuert. Das Bad ist eine Katastrophe. Der Staub vom Fussboden wurde einfach unters Bett gekehrt. Die Betten bestanden nur aus Metallgestellen mit Matratzen, nur die Laken waren sauber. Im Frühstücksraum war es eiskalt. Die Tischdecke war aus Papier und wurde sogar nach gebrauch ausgewechselt. Übers Essen brauchen wir gar nicht erst reden. Wir haben diese Unterkunft gottseidank nur zum schlafen nutzen müssen und das auch nur für 3 Tage. Wir werden dieses Hotel nie wieder buchen. Aussen Hui Innen Pfui. Schade |

все отлично, пляж шикарный через дорогу, вид из окна на море, ночью спишь под шум прибоя)), все рядом, автобусы, электрички, в любую сторону испании, даже на рока виладж шопинг аутлетт автобус ходит. самое главное - в фасаде соседнего дома есть ресторан техас ранчо, отличное место, все дни там ужинали, порции недорогие и просто огромные, мясо всех сортов)) официант девушка лика, грузинка классная вообще, все нам рассказала и помогла с инфой, но только общается на русском с теми кто понравился)), а так будешь думать что испанка говорит с тобой на английском))) самое главное улыбнуться ей и поздороваться, тогда норм)), хозяин отличный мужик и пообщаться и посмеяться. много русских...., причем не только из россии, но и из украины и белоруссии, в основном толстые тети с пьющими толстыми мужиками..., очень не комильфо...к сожаленю, да...бланес уже не тот...) все задирают нос...мы типа в нашем колхозе единственные кто в испанию поехал, так что расступись челядь...) у всех стандартный турецко-египетский прикид - нарощеные ресницы и ногти (специально к поездке на захграничный отдых), высокие каблуки, миниюбки на толстые задницы и сандали на ноги в носках...и такие ещё кепочки на толстых пьяных лицах...аля "здравствуй пенсия")). и по всюду собачаться если не с продавцами, так между собой..."ты нахрена 100 эвро на каньяк истратил?...а ты на хрена сиськи на пляже мужикам показываешь..." впечатление что приехал в шарм эль шейкх...когда уже война в египте закончится...?(( |

Enfrente del mar. Ubicación óptima. 1. Es un edifició antiguo (70's) con una fachada que da el pego, esto significa insonorización y materiales de la época: vamos que oyes al vecino, al niño que juega en la playa... 2. Check-out a las 10:00h, sin posibilidad de ampliar si hay alta ocupación. Vamos, para descansar un domingo si vas de fin de semana. 3. Contaminación lumínica: los escurecedores no funcionan bien o están rotos y a las 6 tienes un espléndido sol. Ideal si te gusta dormir o seguir el horario japonés. 4. El suelo tenía arena de la playa durante el check-in (pecata minuta). 5. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba. Los del hotel dirán que soy un patán que no sé usarlo. Desafortunadamente, es el mismo modelo Mitsubishi Electric central que tengo en mi casa, así que sé como funciona perfectamente el mando. Sencillamente, debía estar estropeado y nadie se quejó (ya se sabe, los guiris con tan de no molestar...). 6. La luz en la fachada, muy bonita de noche. Las vistas al mar, exquisitas. Por desgracia, a los 5 minutos de estar tomando algo te tienes que volver a la habitación cuando te das cuenta que un enjambre de mosquitos está poniéndose el babero encima tuyo debido a que la luz no es apagable. Ignoro si esto será obligatorio por normativa de Blanes pero es completamente absurdo: todas las ilusiones que te haces de tomar algo fresco durante la noche en el balconcito, se te vienen abajo. 7. Las camas. Obviando el detalle de que no estoy muy seguro de si es mayoría o minoría quien necesita camas separadas en una habitación de dos en un hotel ante el mar (¿parejas de business en blanes?), mira que he estado en hoteles baratos y este se lleva la palma por lo mala que era la cama. Yo creo que dormir sobre granito sería más saludable para el raquis. Mal ahorro, se puede hacer algo barato, tipo Easyhotel de Londres, recortando en lo prescindible pero manteniendo un mínimo de dignidad en la cama. 8. El secador no estaba. En booking decía que había pero no lo vimos (misterios). |

У отелья только один несомненный плюс - расположение в лучшем на Коста Брава городке Бланес и прямо на пляже! Я уверена, это худьшая 3-ка во всем Бланесе, не зря в сезон только этот отель свободен - никто не хочет туда ехать. Свиду симпатичный, а внутри - старые номера, не очень приветливый персонал, нет интернета. Этот отель подходит только для ОЧЕНЬ бюджетного отдыха и только для молодых. Не едьте туда с детьми!!! Особенно с маленькими. Есть 2* намного лучше, будьте уверены. |

La situació és immillorable, davant mateix de la platja, i l'habitació que ens va tocar i les instal·lacions correctes. Està a tocar també del centre de Blanes. Les habitacions amb vistes al mar són una passada. A recepció hi havia aquell dia una noia "novata" que es va confondre amb el meu grup. El menjar és regular. Faltava gel de bany a la nostra habitació. |

L'aproche de la mer.C'est pour cette raison que nous avons choisi cet hôtel. Cependant, surpris par le bruit extérieur, partie arriére du bâtiment, des gens qui parlent fort jusqu'à trois heures et demi du matin, impossible à dormir. Les menuiseries extérieures sont de faible confort phonique et mal réglées,(je sais de quoi je parle, menuisier de métier). Quant aux cloisons des chambres on entend tout à travers. Personeel niet bereid om te helpen. Riolering lucht in de kamer. Elke toilet die in het hotel door gespoeld werd was te horen alsof je er naast stond. El hotel está en primera línea de playa. Ell hotel no merece 3 estrellas, tiene habitaciones de pensión de tercera. Todo está muy anticuado y ofrece un desayuno horrible. Pagamos 110 euros por una noche. Contratamos una habitación doble y nos alojaron en una habitación triple llena de humedades. Hicimos el check in después de la cena y por la mañana a las 10:00 nos llamaron por teléfono para que abandonáramos la habitación. No pienso volver jamás y no recomendaría a nadie este hotel. |

Muy, muy ruidoso para ir con niños: una discomóvil justo debajo con altavoces a tope hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Se rompió uno de los ascensores y no lo repararon. 6 plantas y un sólo ascensor, se formaban unas colas... Debes dejar la habitación a las 10. A las 10:01 la tarjeta ya no te abre la puerta. En primer lloc el personal de recepció no parlava en català, en segon lloc havia demanat habitació de cara al mar pq celebravem un aniversari amb la meva parella i ho havia reservat feia mes de dos mesos i em van donar una habitació del darrera, amb molt de soroll al carrer i amb vistes d'un edifici. A les habitacions no hi havia sabó i si el demanaves a recepció et cobraven. Molt soroll als passadissos. No volveremos nunca más. No lo recomiendo, por ser un 3 estrellas la calidad es pésima y encima es caro. La comida bastante mala: refritos, zumos de polvos, bollería reseca... Muy, muy ruidoso para ir con niños: una discomóvil justo debajo con altavoces a tope hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Estaba al lado de la playa. El buffet del desayuno es completo, esta bastante bien Dice por internet que tiene 3 estrellas y no es así. Tiene 1 estrella. Este hotel necesita una reforma completa. Hay muy poca higiene en las habitaciones. El suelo estaba sucio lleno de porqueria de playa. El colchon muy desgastado y duro. Almenos las sabanas si que estaban limpias. Hay mucho ruido en las calles y las ventanas no aislan nada. No se puede dormir bien. El grifo de la bañera estaba roto no se pondía colgar en la pared para ducharse. El primer dia que llegamos 19/07/13 quisimos ir a la piscina y esta estaba totalmente sucia. No se veia el suelo de la piscina de lo verde que estaba. Después ya la limpiaron.... Por una extraña razón nos desactivaron la tarjeta para entrar en la habitación |

Centralt, bra strand, flera restauranger som var bra och prisvärda, behagligt klimat sommartid. Staden var trevlig med flera butiker för shopping. Flera utflyktsmål med buss och tåg på nära håll. Besök gärna pittoreska Tossa de Mar som ligger ca 25 km norrut. Barcelona med tåg en dryg timmes resa Dice por internet que tiene 3 estrellas y no es así. Tiene 1 estrella. Este hotel necesita una reforma completa. Hay muy poca higiene en las habitaciones. El suelo estaba sucio lleno de porqueria de playa. El colchon muy desgastado y duro. le site, le calme, le balcon vue sur mer , l'accueil on était venu auparavant 3 fois avant les transformations ....on a donc encore plus apprécié le confort de la grande chambre et de l'hôtel lors de la réservation on ne nous a pas proposé la demi-pension ..de fait la restauration telle qu'elle est proposée ne mérite pas le prix de " 12 €".... |

Nos alojamos una noche en la suite junior, equipada con hidromasaje. Las vistas eran espectaculares. Muy recomendable para parejas. Situado en pleno paseo marítimo, hay un parking cercano, zona azul. Muchos servicios cerca, aunque el hotel está a 10 minutos del centro el desayuno bastante flojo, pero aceptable. |

Hotellet är rätt enkelt, men sviterna (finns 3) är mycket prisvärda (stora med eget bubbelbadkar). Kvällsunderhållning var kväll på hotellet (+ på grannhotellet Pi Mar); lite blandat men en del pärlor. Ligger ca 50 meter från stranden. Städning utmärkt. Blanes är en fin badort som man lätt når med tåg (från Barcelonas huvudstation Estació de Barcelona- Sants eller från stationen vid Plaça de Catalunya). Frukosten är rätt usel. En del av receptionspersonalen är rätt slö och inte direkt hjälpsam. |

Наличие бассейна на крыше с лежаками - супер (если желание только загорать - без покупаться, то удобнее подняться на крышу) Забудьте о виде из окна, если балкон выходит во внутрь. Ужасней, чем Питерские дворы - колодцы. Слышимость - бывает и уже, но в целом шум из коридора напрягает. Ужасный запах от краски в лифте и около стен отеля.
