Everything! The hotel owner went out her way to help and make our stay amazing. When we got there she booked us in no problem (she struggled abit with English, but she did an excellent job with translating stuff for us). There was no lift, so she got her husband to help us with our luggage up the one flight of stairs. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was amazing - huge with plenty of complimentary nibblies and reasonably priced. The complimentary breakfast was huge! There was a selection of different items, and many of each, we took our time finishing it and even then were struggling to get to the end. And, everything tasted and looked amazing. The service was amazing, and we would reccomend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Costa Brava. Took us a little while to find it, but then again we had forgotten to check a map before hand. The ocean is beautiful but in winter there is not much to do in the town :/ I wish there was so we could have a reason to stay longer. |

The owners were most kind and helpful. Our meal in the restaurant was followed by an evening of Catalan folk songs until 1.30 in the morning. We will definitely go back! This is a delightful small family run hotel, feels more like being an honoured guest in a family home than staying in a hotel. The meals were exceptional, prepared by friendly hostess Carme. The location is quiet and peaceful, a good base for exploring the Costa Brava and Salvador Dali Museum in nearby Figures. A couple of slight drawbacks that didn't worry me at all - if travelling by train, it is a 10 to 15 min walk uphill to the station. The hotel restaurant is not open Sunday nights, but there are other options in the village |

This is a gem. It's a small family operation, with only four or five rooms, decorated with charm. (Why, for instance, is there a ladder in the bathroom when there's nothing high up to reach? You'll figure it out.) The owners are really pleasant and friendly - in a quiet way, not at all overbearing. And the food - ah, the food. Superb! This little place is so thoughtfully presented - the rooms are very simple but bright. Downstairs in the restaurant we had the best paella for dinner and the best breakfast we'd had in Spain. We booked the hostal because we were driving down towards Girona from Perpignan and wanted somewhere slightly off the beaten track, and cheap to stay. We just had one night arriving at about 8.00pm. The small town is very quiet, on a Tuesday night in May only two local bars were open so we returned to the hostal and chose to eat in their restaurant. What a treat, the Catalonian food served was quite exceptional and was complimented perfectly with a bottle of local red. The service was first rate with our host making a lot of effort to ensure that we understood the menu. The couple who run the hostal are clearly dedicated to providing a comfortable and stylish environment. The rooms are smart, and yes there are 'open bathrooms', which were a first for us, (but that's what travelling's about). The included breakfast was a real surprise, yes technically it is 'continental' but this was a feast of local meats, fresh juice and the best home made compote's that we have ever tasted. We loved this place. Nothing to dislike. |

Le personnel est au petit soin et très sympathique, les chambres et salles de bain sont très propres, on y mange excellemment bien (fruits bios, confitures bios maison, viande directe de chez l'éleveur...). De plus, Colera n'est qu'à 10 ou 20 minutes maxi de villes telles que Cadaques, Figueres, Roses, Empuria, Llança, Portbou, Cerbère. Plutôt que d'aller dans des hôtels impersonnels, nous avons beaucoup apprécié de rentrer au Totsompops, de nous y retrouver comme à la maison et comme dans un restaurant de haute qualité. Absolument rien à dire si ce n'est une suggestion : les propriétaires devraient mettre leurs produits à la vente de leur clientèle (leurs confitures, leurs conserves et pourquoi pas la viande) |

Está ubicado en un pueblo de costa muy tranquilo, nada que ver con otros pueblos turísticos de los alrededores. Mucho silencio. Fácil aparcar y a la sombra. El tema de que el baño no tenga puerta no es nada molesto porque se accede por un pasillo independiente a la habitación y están muy separados. La ubicación del hotel, su tranquilidad, la cocina (super-recomendable), la relación calidad-precio y sobre todo la amabilidad y buen hacer de Carme, la propietaria, siempre pendiente de todo y a la vez discreta. Lo recomendamos para una escapadita por el Alt Empordà y el Sur de Francia. La tramuntana, aunque en eso el hostal no tiene nada que ver.
