This pleasant guest house is located 3 km from the historic centre of Begur. It offers cosy rooms with a balcony and scenic sea views, a terrace and free Wi-Fi, 350 metres from Fonda Beach.
Hostal Ondina’s heated rooms are bright and feature functional decor and tiled floors. All have a private bathroom with hairdryer and room service is available.
Ondina’s restaurant offers traditional Catalan and Mediterranean dishes made with local produce. There is also a bar area and packed lunches can be provided for days out.
You can go diving and snorkeling at Aiguablava Beach, 700 metres away, and the Fornells Coves, just 200 metres away. The Serres de Pals and Playa de Pals Golf Resorts are 15 minutes away by car.

Begur is a lovely village in the heart of the Costa Brava, located in the massif of the same name. In his town, dominated by the XIth century castle, you will find so famous beaches in all Costa Brava as Aiguablava, Sa Tuna, Sa Riera, Aiguafreda, Platja Fonda or Fornells. In the center of village there are traces of Indian architecture, from the nineteenth century.
Located in the heart of Empordà (Ampurdán), protected by the mountains massif from where it took its name, the town of Begur is one of the most charming and secluded villages of the Costa Brava.
The medieval village of Begur has a charm derived from its ancient history. Located in the mountains of Begur, these mountains that surround the village are the clues to understand its origins. In the era of piracy, through the XVII-XVIIIth centuries, center of any village should not be located right on the coast but inside. Indeed, Begur, 192 meters above sea level, has this quality perfectly fulfilled and so it grew over the centuries, with its defensive towers protecting against pirates.
The imposing silhouette of its medieval castle over the town, the many American colonial style villas built by the emigrants that came back from America after making a fortune in XIXth century, the medieval layout of its narrow streets, the little houses of fishermen that can still be seen in some of the creeks that surround Begur, they all shape the identity of a people who have lived almost facing the sea and is now a major tourism focus in the whole of the Costa Brava.
The historic center of Begur is riddled with monuments which are inherited from a past that still remains in its stones, as the Church of Sant Pere, the house Pella and Forgas, Mas Pinc, where lived and died the great flamenco singer Carmen Amaya ... the castle itself, destroyed several times throughout its history.
Without a doubt the most distinctive natural landscape of Begur is formed by the set of eight small creeks and beaches that surround it, some of the most beautiful of the Costa Brava due to its location between cliffs and clear blue waters: Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Fornells, Platja Fonda, Aiguaxelida, Illa Roja.

Very nice/helpful/accommodating owner. He had lots of good advice regarding beaches to visit and how to get there. Rooms were pretty small and simple, but given the price, and the point was to visit the local beaches, they were perfectly reasonable. |

Very warm welcome on arrival.The owners/managers were very helpful and happy and spoke a bit of other european languages.Great location just outside Begur but walking distance to beaches. No Air Conditioner in room but we didn't let that bother us. Bring mosquito repellent as its needed for this area. |

El personal es muy atento y muy agradables. Nos atendieron perfectamente y tuvimos una muy buena estancia. Las habitaciones son correctas y limpias. El servicio de cocina es bueno y a un precio razonable. La ubicación es perfecta, un paraje inolvidable desde el que es fácil desplazarte por la zona Totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de unos días en la Costa Brava, disfrutar del sol, caminatas, playa etc... Como mejora, las habitaciones podrían incluir una pequeña nevera para guardar algún alimento. |

En el hotel no hay iluminación exterior. Cuando regresábamos por la noche, teníamos que utilizar la luz de nuestros móviles para encontrar la habitación. L'accueil très sympathique des proprios. Situation idéale pour visiter les alentours: à pied de Platja Fornells, Platja Fonda et Aiguablava. À 5 minutes en voiture du centre de la ville de Begur, à 15 minutes de Calella de Palafrugell qui fut le coup de coeur de notre séjour. Demandez la chambre la plus éloignée du resto pour un peu plus d'intimité sur votre balcon. Le resto est quand même assez cher pour un hôtel 2 étoiles. Mais c'était très bon. |
