Roses è l'antico villaggio di pescatori di l'Alto Ampurdan, che accoglie i visitatori alle porte del Parco Naturale di Cap de Creus. A sud dei monti Albères, la Costa Brava si apre nella baia di Roses: il mare la fa da padrone in questa profonda insenatura di 15 chilometri di lunghe spiagge sabbiose e acquitrini.
Il confine settentrionale è costituito dalla penisola del Cap de Creus mentre quello meridionale dal massiccio del Montgrí. Alle due estremità della baia, Rhode e Emporion furono le porte d’accesso della cultura greca nel territorio. Nel punto in cui sorgevano le due antiche città si sono sviluppate ai nostri tempi due importanti località turistiche: Roses a nord e L’Escala a sud.
Le origini di Roses risalgono nel VIII secolo a.C. con l'arrivo e la creazione, da parte dei rodi, provenienti dall'isola greca di Rodi (Rhodes). Da qui prende il nome. Il commercio e la posteriore occupazione romana di questo luogo formano un ambiente che spiega lo stato d'animo di una popolazione molto moderna, aperta, attiva e generosa.
Gli attrazioni turistiche di Roses sono molti e diverse. Di fronte ai magnifici paesaggi naturali che offrono le sue calette: Montjoi, Cala Canyelles, Joncols Cala, Cala Murtra, Lledó Cala, Cala Rustella, ecc. il villaggio offre anche un turismo culturale di grande interesse, per esempio i suoi dolmen (il dolmen Creu d'en Cobertella, Llit de la Generala, Cap de l'Home, Casa Cremada), il Museo della Ciutadella, il Castello di Santa Trinitat, il faro di Roses, ecc. Roses ha anche il più grande porto di pescatori nel nord della Costa Brava.
La Roses culturale, tradizionale e sportiva è diversa e comprende festival di musica, rock e blues, mostre, concerti, ecc. In estate la città ospita uno dei festival musicali più importante della Costa Brava: Sons del Món (Suoni del Mondo).
Roses riunisce gran parte dell’offerta turistica della Costa Brava settentrionale. Il suo porto di pesca, uno dei più attivi della Costa Brava, merita una passeggiata pomeridiana, all’ora in cui i pescherecci rientrano seguiti da una scia di gabbiani.
Le sue terrazze invitano alla conversazione e le vie della cittadella, cinta dai suoi bastioni, a una lenta passeggiata. Questo imponente baluardo venne fatto edificare da Carlo v, nel xvi secolo, per difendere la zona dagli attacchi dei pirati. All’interno si possono visitare i resti della colonia greca di Rhode, del iv secolo a.C., e il monastero benedettino di Santa Maria. A Roses si pratica ogni tipo di sport acquatico, sia lungo le spiagge di sabbia fine che nelle cale di L’Almadrava, Montjoi e Jòncols.
Se siete interessati a passeggiate naturalistiche Rosas offre qualche ben segnalate e accessibile, di paesaggi eccezionali, risultanti dalla combinazione di mare e montagna.
La costa di Roses è piena di contrasti. Ci sono grande rocce sul mare, ma anche spiagge tranquille e limpide, di sabbia fina e acque poco profonde, fornendo le condizioni ideali per praticare sport acquatici come il kayak, pesca, vela, windsurf, parapendio, ecc. Per tutte queste ragioni, il piacere della famiglia in questo villaggio ai piedi del Cap di Creus è garantito.
Il destino di Roses è stato collegato negli ultimi anni alla figura dell'eccellente chef Ferran Adrià, di fama in tutto il mondo per la sua cucina innovativa. Il suo famoso ristorante, El Bulli, che si trova nell'idilliaca Cala Montjoi, è diventata adesso la Fundazione El Bulli, un centro di ricerca culinaria.

что понравилось? очень комфортный отель. пляж рядом. если только пляжный отдых, то все очень хорошо. если активный отдых - должен быть в наличии автомобиль. тогда-все рядом. и фигерас и бесалу и кадакес и все все все. потому как с общественным транспортом-проблемы. если велосипед или пешие прогулки-этого вдоволь в квадрате. отель рекомендую настоятельно. ресторан при отеле-дороговат, но это курортный городок, что вы хотели.? а вот кормят вкусно!!!!!!даже очень. завтрки -как везде стандартные для испании. организация парковки при отеле большой минус! своей парковки нет, а общественная (причем находится под отелем)очень (на мой взгляд) дорого. хотя если по дворам поездить и поискать-местечко найдется:-)))). в целом же скажу что росес и окрестности-это для любителей апартаментов. предложений много и все очень даже симпатично. |

The location of the hotel to the beach was great and the staff were friendly and generally accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy as were the bathrooms. The bottle of champagne when leaving was a nice touch. The staff at the beach bar (the sloop) were a little less friendly. We did ask for a double room but were given a twin and the room decor was a little tired. The room safe key had been lost. None of the above however affected our stay. |

La ubicación del hotel, inmejorable. Justo delante de una cala, muy tranquila, lejos del bullicio del centro. Se llega sin problemas, con sitios para aparcar al lado del hotel. La habitación, era la económica, sin vistas al mar, pero con terraza interior. Cama muy cómoda, habitación espaciosa, baño nuevo y limpio. El buffet del desayuno muy completo, pudiendo desayunar dentro del comedor o fuera en la terraza. El personal del hotel muy amable. La última noche (estuvimos 6 noches), nos regalaron una botella de buen cava, todo un detalle por su parte. Todo ha sido perfecto. |

Hotel tres bien situé ,face a la plage ( on ne peut mieux faire ) le personnel très accueillant et parlant français buffet du petit déjeuner très copieux et délicieux .le restaurant tres bien , présentation tres soignée et le personnel très attentionné Tres gros problème pour se garer .Dommage qu il n y ai pas un parking gratuit , spécifique a l hôtel car le payant revient cher au bout d une semaine |

Excellent hotel. Very clean, comfy beds, helpful staff (all speak English). Breakfast is first class, wide variety of things to chose, delicious coffee. Hotel restaurant is not cheap but the food is excellent. Good location, much better than Roses in the next bay, which is big and busy. Lovely views (seafront room a must) Beach and sea are clean, my teenagers loved it. Hard to understand why Hotel C. is only a 3 star. Would have liked a bigger swimming pool, but we are just being picky. |

Hotel is across the street from Canyelles beach in Costa Brava. Also has a small pool if the sand gets too much for you. Overpriced for what it is...a reasonable, clean hotel on a small Costa Brava beach. Staff was willfully unhelpful and rude. |

Right on the beach, outdoor balconies! Excellent restaurant and breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. Booked a catamaran cruise for us... Awesome! Beautiful beachfront! A little far of a walk from the shops and town but really not that far. (40min walk- 5min drive) |

Nice hotel with lovelly rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. Expensive to park car in hotel car park but we were able to park on street in front of the hotel, but did have to watch for spaces. |
