Canyelles Platja ligt aan de kust, net buiten Roses en biedt directe toegang tot het strand. Er is een zwembad, een restaurant met uitzicht op zee en gratis WiFi.

Canyelles Platja is in Roses
Bevindt zich in het uiterste noorden van de Golf van Roses, daar waar de berg weer dieper in zee dringt en aan de Costa Brava opnieuw zijn karakteristieke vorm geeft.
N.a.v. enkele overblijfselen die men gevonden heeft verzekert men dat Roses ontstaan is doordat zich ter plaatse een griekse kolonie heeft gevestigd, zelfs ouder dan die van Empúries, die Rhode heette. Van de andere kant stamt het belang van Roses als militaire haven uit de aller vroegste tijden.
De hele geschiedenis van Roses komt neer op het belang van deze stad in tijd van oorlog en ten opzichte van de zee. In Middeleeuwen ontwikkelde het zich als grens, speciaal vanaf de inlijving van Rosselló bij Frankrijk in 1659. Als souvenir van dit verleden staan nog de ruïnes van het kasteel La Trinitat op Punta de la Poncella, en de mur van het XVIe eeuwse fort.
Actueel is Roses met 3.150 inwoleengoed van de graven van Empúries. Het was de aanleghaven voor de vloot van het graafschap, en één van de drijfveren van de catalaanse uitbreiding over de Middellandse Zee. Het vormde één van de verdedigings bolwerken aan de ners en een twintigtal hotels een eerste rangs toeristencentrum en zomerverblijfplaats en het nette en schone dorp blijft zijn typische aspect van een vissersdorp behouden.
Het uitzicht op de Golf van Roses vanuit het dorp is sensationeel en schitterend op elk moment van de dag. Langs de kust, richting en voorbij Punta de la Poncella, waarop de vuurtoren staat, bevinden zich Cala Canyelles Petites, Punta Falconera, Cala Montjoi (waar is de Stichting van El Bulli, van Ferran Adrià chef), Cala Murtra, Cala Lledó, Cala Rustella en zoveel andere buitengeone plekjes.

The location of the hotel to the beach was great and the staff were friendly and generally accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy as were the bathrooms. The bottle of champagne when leaving was a nice touch. The staff at the beach bar (the sloop) were a little less friendly. We did ask for a double room but were given a twin and the room decor was a little tired. The room safe key had been lost. None of the above however affected our stay. |

La ubicación del hotel, inmejorable. Justo delante de una cala, muy tranquila, lejos del bullicio del centro. Se llega sin problemas, con sitios para aparcar al lado del hotel. La habitación, era la económica, sin vistas al mar, pero con terraza interior. Cama muy cómoda, habitación espaciosa, baño nuevo y limpio. El buffet del desayuno muy completo, pudiendo desayunar dentro del comedor o fuera en la terraza. El personal del hotel muy amable. La última noche (estuvimos 6 noches), nos regalaron una botella de buen cava, todo un detalle por su parte. Todo ha sido perfecto. |

Excellent hotel. Very clean, comfy beds, helpful staff (all speak English). Breakfast is first class, wide variety of things to chose, delicious coffee. Hotel restaurant is not cheap but the food is excellent. Good location, much better than Roses in the next bay, which is big and busy. Lovely views (seafront room a must) Beach and sea are clean, my teenagers loved it. Hard to understand why Hotel C. is only a 3 star. first normal breakfast in the trip close to the beach air condition was terrible no parking although promised balcony felt like prison you must ask in advance for see vew and pay the high price. for economic price really unpleasant |

Hotel is across the street from Canyelles beach in Costa Brava. Also has a small pool if the sand gets too much for you. Overpriced for what it is...a reasonable, clean hotel on a small Costa Brava beach. Staff was willfully unhelpful and rude. |

Right on the beach, outdoor balconies! Excellent restaurant and breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. Booked a catamaran cruise for us... Awesome! Beautiful beachfront! A little far of a walk from the shops and town but really not that far. (40min walk- 5min drive) |

Nice hotel with lovelly rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. Expensive to park car in hotel car park but we were able to park on street in front of the hotel, but did have to watch for spaces. |

The position is fantastic. The room is big and well furnished, the toilet too and everything is perfectly cleaned. The restaurant is a bit expensive and the time to wait to eat is sometime too much; the private parking cost a lot. |

Location directly across street from a nice beach. Beautiful scenery. Pool area nice. Would recommend a room overlooking the ocean. Front desk staff could have been friendlier. Sometimes felt like I was bothering them when asked a question. Received a rude response when asked if towels for pool area were available from hotel ( I didn't bring my own) eventually got some but was made to feel they were doing me a huge favor. All considered would stay there again. |
