Unfortunately all gym equipment was non operational (needed repairs). Food in the restaurant is not of the standard of restaurants and food outlets in town.

The facilities at this hotel are amazing for the price and it is pet friendly. Within reasonable walking distance of the centre but you can always get a taxi back for about 9€. This is the third time I have stayed there.

Stay spolied by being grunted at by the receptioninst on arrival and later (older man) who should retire from the hospitality business today if he can't be bothered. No mention of facilities or whether we wanted meals. Insited speaking English even though I can speak French. Shame.

We only stayed 1 night but can say the staff where friendly and helpful, The rooms very good and clean all the things you need. Location was really good with free parking and easy access to the city.

The room we had was a large one and the heating system was not sufficent to heat the room.

We stayed there a few weeks previously on our way back to the UK, and were impressed mainly with the helpfulness of the staff, and again they came up trumps when we didn't really want a full meal the waiter from the restaurant organised out of hours snacks which were much appreciated, then came looking for us to return the tip we had left saying that he was pleased to help and did not seek reward, how refreshing (he got his monet anyway).

The two staff we encountered, the gentleman at the check-in and the dinner waitress were exceptionally helpful. The evening meal was particularly good. It was a good stopover on our way south.

There was nothing to dislike in the Hotel.

Great value (in January anyway). Comfortable beds, good bathroom, kettle and tea/coffee in room plus fridge. 3 course meal 14.50 euros and excellent breakfast buffet at 9 euros. Great for stopover, and easy parking with security camera. Would recommend.

Dinner at 8.30pm but everyone sitting down at the same time so the meal didn't appear until nearly 9.00pm. Not so good if you are travelling, but typically Spanish timing of course.

Warm comfortable room, tea making facility was most welcome, as was the breakfast before we set off for a pretty long drive. Parking facilities good. Reception staff particularly helpful.

Finding it was a bit problematic, but that was down to local road closures, thank heaven for Tomtom.

This was an excellent hotel, close to town with great staff. Had a very friendly atmosphere. Rooms were warm and cosy. Good value for money.

Only problem we had was that at 3.30am we were awakened by a loud knocking noise which lasted until 4.15am. Night shift staff responded to our call but could not find what the noise was.

A very nice place to stay, I would really recommend it to everyone who wants to spend some time in Girona.

A bit much noise from the corridors

The hotel is very good value for money, comfortable, and in a good location. I arrived by car and it was good to have ample free parking on site, and then walk into town - which was really not far, but I like walking. I had dinner in the hotel as well and it was very nice.

The room was too warm, even on a cold winter night. I had to open the window to sleep, and then the room was very cold!

it is quiet and the setting very provincial which we loved. location also pretty good if you have a car. walking to the city still possible. but since there is free parking right outside city centre free of charge, best to drive.

Nice, clean room with bad for baby if needed. Extra room with toys for children. Coffee and tea whenever you want. 15 minutes walking to city center. Good price for this standard.

Receptionist wasn't very helpful when we asked about buses to Lloret the mar. She didn't check anything and just said 'I don't know'.

The hotel was adequate for a stopover before driving to the coast.

The ac was turned off at the end of September and we happened to be there during a warm night in October. This made it difficult to sleep. The room is advertised as having ac.

The hotel room was like a 5 star hotel... very clean... very comfotable... food was also fantastic... the steak was so tasty!

There was a bad smell in the room...

This is a lovely friendly hotel and old fashioned in the very best way - cozy comfort with kind staff. Will definitely go back and use this as our base in the area.

The only slight downside is the location which is a little out of town, but the L2 bus goes every 15 mins cost about 1.50 and takes you straight in - or you can walk the 15 mins.

The location was good, the bed was quite comfortable.

The person that checked me in was not very attentive and polite, the room smelled of a dreadful perfume and I had to have my blinds closed at all time, because there was a clear view to it from the pool area and the parking lot. Breakfast was also really poor and kind of regret wasting 9 euros on it.

Address not recognised by sat va! We spent far too long trying to fing hotel, having passed it twice and easily saw signs to Ibis next door.

Location easy to find from motorway and not too far to walk into town. Wifi was popular with teenage daughter. Rooms were comfortable.

One of the two rooms we booked did not smell so good. Think there were problems with the drains and the heat (August).

One of the guys at the reception was exceptionally helpful in figuring out how to get to the Pyrenees with public transportation.

I was a bit disappointed with the gym (one of my reasons to pick this hotel). There was a reasonable tredmill (max speed 10mph), a stationary bike and a steps machine. No weights or any other type of strength training equipment, however.

Very good facilities and good value for its star category. Well placed for access to the old centre of Girona (& to the hospital for business trips, etc.). Friendly and helpful staff. A nice pool and a small gym. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Nice breakfast. About a 15-20 minute easy walk to the town centre. 15 min taxi ride from the airport. Nice BBQ meals outside by the pool in the evening. Wifi worked well and was free.

Triple size room was really small-and air conditioning was not the best. Also, the cleaning people only cleaned-replaced linens, if you left a tip.

Much of the wooden furniture around the pool was in poor condition and in need of treatment so we could not use it.

Only location and parking. But parking is not free - price is include in room prices.

Picture and description of the hotel room did not correspond to the actual. The room was very dirty and noisy. The furniture is old and in need of replacement. The bathroom is very dysfunctional, the shower is very uncomfortable, hot water runs very poorly. Hygiene is beneath criticism. On breakfast careful what you choose to eat - the staff touched with hands and the food is not fresh.

Access from motorway as stopover on way to France.

The air con in the room did not work and when we asked at reception, we were told that none of the air con in any of the rooms worked. As it was very warm, we passed a stuffy and uncomfortable night. Why advertise rooms have air con, when they don't. Restaurant service perfunctory and food very basic at dinner, although breakfast was reasonable.

I have fond memories about Girona and Costabella! Good small hotel with friendly staff. A varied breakfast. Hotel has own parking and it's very important for travelling by car. Location of the hotel is convenient for trip around north Catalonia.

The relaxed atmosphere. Log fire. Being able to take our dog which we could easily walk for his needs. Friendly staff. Good variety at breakfast with juicer for fresh orange juice. Good value, good quality menu for dinner. Being able to leave our car and walk easily into town centre-about 15 minutes. We were there in winter but I'm sure their pool area, with the BBQs they have, would be a nice way to cool off and relax after a hard day's sightseeing. Plenty of supermarkets nearby. We'd happily go back.
