Good breakfast, smiling and helpful staff, stylish bathroom with shower, small balcony, free bottles of water every day in room fridge.

Small double room lacking drawer space, only one chair, nowhere to put suitcase. View onto huge pipes of air conditioning at back of hotel nearby. No insulation above the fridge in the cupboard, so the shelf above was too warm to use. Washbasin very shallow, showerhead in wrong place. No shelves in bathroom, so washbag had to be put on floor. In the breakfast room the toaster was faulty and only toasted one side of the bread

Very good details like the free water, coffe, tea at any time of the hour, good brand of the schampoo/shower gel/soap in the bathroom (l'occitane), excelent breakfast with good quality products and anything you might wish for. The room was very clean and with a big terrace overlooking the sea! The bed was very comfortable, good pillows and nice sheets/ bedding. The bathroom was perfect. The only thing to think about is that the room we took was not completely sound isolated, however this was specified during the booking. Som few minor sounds that might bother the light sleeper but nothing a pair of earplugs cant solve. The hotel staff was very kind and accomodating as well as discrete which gave you a feeling of comfort and wellness! Highly recommended!

L'accueil familial est fantastique. Les trois frères et leur maman sont aux petits soins pour les clients qu'ils traitent plutôt comme des amis. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. Nous avions une terrasse avec vue sur la mer, ce qui est très appréciable.

Il faut avouer que Roses a une baie magnifique, mais qui a été très abimée par les constructions récentes.

Personnel sympa, agréable toujours disponible. Les chambres sont simple mais confortable, la salle de bain assez spacieuse. Petit déjeuner a volonté ou il y a de tout (œuf, bacon, jambon, fromage, pains confiture, miel, yaourt,....) et le personnel toujours au petit soins! Je n'hésiterais en aucun cas a y retourner.

La qualité de l'accueil et la disponibilité de tout le personnel. Le calme de l'hôtel et de ses alentours. L'hygiène parfaite de la chambre et de la salle d'eau. Le petit déjeuner, copieux et varié.

La petite superficie de la chambre. Quelques mètres carrés de plus ne nuiraient pas au confort. Le rideaux de douche... système d'un autre temps et qui n'est pas en rapport avec les prestations et les prétentions de l'hôtel.

El Hotel está mejor de lo que esperábamos. La habitación Doble Superior es amplia igual que el baño. Los acabados de la habitación son buenos, la grifería Grohe y la bañera grande y cómoda. El personal del Hotel es muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos. El desayuno es muy completo y muy bueno. Hay un parking gratuito a 150 metros del Hotel.

Amabilidad y Servicio. Ambiente agradable en las zonas comunes, musica de ambiente... la habitación muy bien, y el desayuno GENIAL.... Sinceramente para repetir. La ubicación muy bien, sobre todo cuando andas callejeando por Rosas.

Отель находится близко от моря, но в переулке. Моря не видно. Видны только балконы соседнего дома. Плюс рядом небольшой ресторанчик и вечером бывает шумно. И дело не в том, что очень шумят, просто акустика в переулке хорошая. В остальном, отель замечательный

The superior room I chose was very comfortable and offered excellent value for money in my opinion with several very nice touches. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future. It was actually recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed!

We got the last room, which probably was the least attractive room (very dark), however it was a last minute booking. Internet connection was cumbersome, constantly needed an access code from the reception for each device.

Excellent hotel -Close to the sea, in the city centre close to the shopping / restaurant streets -Friendly and helpful staff, gave us advice on everything from restaurants to excursions -Very clean -High quality breakfast -Good size room (had superior room) Even the smallest details were well catered for. E.g.: we were given beach towels at reception (small detail, but saved us 10 euros on buying beach towels). Also, on the last day of our visit we had to leave at 7am (before hotel breakfast), so they arranged for us to have breakfast at the hotel Rom next door, free of charge Great hotel, in all major aspects, and even to the smallest detail

Very large bathroom. Good bed and ok size TV. Good size refrigerator. Standard breakfast with option of bacon and eggs. Balcony with roof wievs, could see sea if you stand up. Near beach. Garage for once was easy to drive in and out. Otherwise silent, only seagulls had their babys and it was very noicy.

I agree with the other reviews. Outstanding customer service. The staff was very attentive to our needs and really did a great job taking care of us. The breakfast was also a highlight for us. Again, great staff in the breakfast area and they have a very good selection of meat, cheese, juice, yogurt, and pastries to choose from. They will serve eggs and bacon upon request as well. The rooms we had were pretty small and basic but certainly clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were nicely sized and the shower was great. Finally, the location was fantastic--just one block off the beach. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Carmen. I definitely recommend this place. Thanks again to all the staff. Well done!

All reception staff were excellent - really friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was quite small but beautifully decorated and had a little balcony outside which was a bonus. The bathroom was very clean and included l'occitane toiletries. Delicious breakfast including eggs cooked to order - all great.

Very comfortable hotel just one road away from the front. Our room although compact had a balcony with loungers and a sea view. All the staff were very helpful and all spoke English. Will definitely return.

Parking was a bit of a faff but then I guess that's what comes with being in the centre of town.

From the inside, this is really a 4* boutique hotel with multiple design elements, great attention to detail, all possible comforts and great staff. The breakfast was copious and varied and all the various parts were of good quality. The rooms were very comfortable with spacious power showers, occitane toiletries, big fluffy towels etc All over the hotel there were pieces of art and curiosities to look at which created a homely atmosphere, so unlike the sterile nature of many modern hotels.

The location, although central and close to the beach was a bit seedy, although I think it was actually safe. There was no parking at or close to the hotel which is situated on a one way narrow street. Although there is a very good system in place for parking at a nearby lock up garage, it was both disconcerting and reassuring to have a 'lock up box' within the locked up car park! Also felt 10euro per night was a bit steep. Our room (at the back) faced onto the police station car park and this was quite noisy at times. It wasn't very pretty either.

Friendly hotel just minutes from the seafront. We had a very warm welcome from Elena who was able to suggest places to eat and park for free. Loved the attention given to breakfast - a delicious buffet with eggs that could be ordered from the kitchen any way you might like them. Quiet and impeccably clean rooms with a lovely large balcony. A very enjoyable stay - thank you!

We loved the breakfast. Hot eggs! Great spread. Room was adequate and clean. Close to restaurants and a gorgeous beach.

Difficult to find with one way streets. It was off season and not very crowded. No upgrade in an empty hotel. Next day as we were leaving, they said they should have upgraded us since we were nice.
