L'Hotel Windsor vous accueille dans le centre de Tossa, à seulement 150 mètres de la plage. Moderne et pratique, il possède une piscine et une terrasse avec chaises longues.

Imaginez un endroit où voyager dans le temps et se transporter à travers les âges. Tossa est un peu comme un musée à ciel ouvert. Ses restes préhistoriques laissent espace à la Turissa romaine, la Tursa médiévale et la Tossa moderne, devenue le point d'intersection d'artistes et d'intellectuels, puis la charmante hôtesse de tous genres de touristes et de visiteurs.
Abrégé Tossa, Tossa de Mar est un de ces typiques villages de Costa Brava où la forêt de pins arrive jusqu'à la mer. L'économie principal du village était principalement le liège (comme beacoup d'autres villages dans Costa Brava) est le vin. Mais le tournage du film Pandora (protagonisé par Ava Gardner), le 1950, parallel a l'éclosion touristique de toute la Costa Brava, a rendu ce belle emplacement connue dans le monde entier. C'est pourquoi le turisme è devenu aujourd'hui la principale ressource pour ceux qui habitent ici.
Les origines de Tossa sont pré-romains (Turissa) et sa situation géographique exceptionnelle, entre Lloret de Mar(sud) et Sant Feliu de Guíxols (nord). Pour y arriver il faut prendre la GI-682 depuis un de ces deux villages.Les vues qui offre ce route sont extraordinaires, il faut s'arrêter dans quelqu'un des points signalé comme vues panoramiques pour photographies les perspectives des calanques qu'on obtient de là. C'est par ce route comme peut accéder a des criques très belles celles de Cala Giverola, Platja del Senyor Raimon, Cala de Vallpresona, Cala Rosana...
De l’époque romaine, en plus d’autres villas de moindre importance, il nous est resté la villa romaine Els Ametllers, située à l’Av. del Pelegrí, 5 – 13. Le docteur Ignasi Melé a découvert cette villa des Ametllers (1ère siècle av. J.-C. - 6ème siècle ap. J.-C.) en 1914. Elle est donc l'une des plus importantes villas de l'ancienne province de Tarraco. Elle se dévoue particulièrement à la culture de la vigne et à l'exportation de vin de consommation courante. Elle est donc un exemple classique de l'exploitation agricole dans le bassin méditerranéen roman. En matière architectonique elle se compose de deux parties bien différentes: la pars urbana (partie urbaine) et la pars fructuaria (partie rurale). Sa situation sur le versant oriental de la colline de Can Magí, orientée vers la mer avec une claire vue sur la baie, a influencé la distribution du bâtiment.
Mais dans le centre du village la visite à les murailles d'enceinte est inexcusable.Classés comme monument historique et artistique national, ces murs represéntent aujourd'hui le seul exemple de cité médiévale fortifiée sur la côte de la Catalogne. Elles sont compris de quatre donjons et trois tours (d'en Joanàs, des Heures et es Codolar).
On recommande notamment déambuler dans les ruelles de l’intérieur de l’enceinte médiévale et monter jusqu’au Phare de Tossa, d’où vous aurez l’occasion de jouir du magnifique paysage de notre côte. Dehors des murailles, délimité par les rues Portal et Estolt, vous trouverez le quartier de Sa Roqueta, un traditionnel quartier de pêcheurs, résultat de la première étape d’expansion du village au siècle XVI. Plus loin, si vous suivez la rue Portal, vous arriverez à la zone commerciale du centre ville qui se situe dans les rues Socors et La Guàrdia, Place d’Espagne, et rue Pou de la Vila jusqu’à l’Avenue Costa Brava, celle-ci déjà située dans une zone de construction beaucoup plus récente.
La promenade tout au long de la façade maritime, depuis les murailles jusqu’à la plage de Mar Menuda, est aussi très agréable. Ce parcours vous permettra jouir de la mer et des spectaculaires vues du Cap de Tossa avec les murailles
Le phare de Tossa (1917), situé sur la partie plus élevée de la Vila Vella, est devenu un centre d'interprétation des phares de notre littoral. Cet équipement innovateur, dans le domaine muséologique, est une pièce de référence pour tous ceux qui s'intéressent à une large vision du monde des signaux maritimes. C'est un centre audiovisuel, donc intelligible pour tous, n’importe soit la langue que l’on parle. Le raisonnement nous amène plus près de l'histoire et la technologie du monde des phares, et de la vie de leur gardien. L'espace dédié au musée, offre l'occasion de contempler diverses pièces de ce patrimoine maritime.
Le musée municipal, aménagé dans le Palau del Batlle, témoigne du passage à Tossa de peintres tels que Marc Chagall, André Masson, Joaquim Sunyer, qui tous ont été captivés par ce paysage.
Tossa possède de belles plages (Llorell, Morisca) et l’un des plus beaux endroits de la côte catalane : la route qui va jusqu’à Sant Feliu de Guíxols (25 km de tournants) en passant par les calanques de Salions, Futadera, Giverola et Pola.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'amabilité et le professionnalisme des responsables de l'établissement, les chambres sont agréables et confortables, la déco contemporaine et de qualité m'a beaucoup plu. Le petit déjeuner était également de qualité et copieux. La situation de cet hôtel est parfaite, près de la plage et en plein centre du vieux Tossa de Mar. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Le seul petit bémol est la mauvaise insonorisation des chambres, prévoyez des boules quiès LOL . Mais vraiment c'est le seul point négatif ... |

We had to ask for hot water many times per day for the baby and they were always there to help us with that (with a smile), they even washed the bottles. The shower curtain was really dirty and it was yellow at the bottom, it needs to be changed. But the lady that cleaned the room every day did a great job. They didn't have air conditioning in the room, so it was a little bit hot sometimes. |

Das hotel liegt sehr zentral in tossa,man ist überall in kürzester zeit: am meer, auf der burg, in der fußgängerzone. Die zimmer sind neu,modern und ansprechend gestaltet,das bad sehr sauber und praktisch eingeteilt. Wir waren 5 tage, auch übers Wochenende im hotel windsor und konnten uns gut erholen, auch wenn in der nacht die tonnen geleert oder die straße gekehrt wurde,dann wird für ein paar minuten laut, aber deshalb ist tossa immer blitzsauber. Nachts ist einiges geboten in der altstadt von tossa,das hört man natürlich auch aber man hat ja selber urlaub und möchte was sehen und erleben und das muss man auch den andern zugestehen! leben und leben lassen! Das frühstück war ok, wurst, käse obst, alles da, jeder findet da was! kaffee: na ja... Der pool ist sauber und groß genug zum schwimmen,in der engen altstadt von tossa eher selten. Die poolumgebung und der garten könnten etwas schöner gestaltet werden, was aber nicht so wichtig ist weil das meer direkt vor füßen liegt. Отель прекрасно расположен в самом центре старого года, и буквально в 2-х минутах ходьбы от пляжа, при чем, так как у него центральное расположение если смотреть на карту города, то близко от всего: от всех пляжей, крепости, набережной, кафе и автостанции. Отель для тех кому нужен бюджетный комфорт (если образно), т.е цена на отель средняя, но уровень услуг за эти деньги более чем достойный. Прекрасный номер (у нас был улучшенный с балконом в сторону бассейна), хорошая сантехника, очень дружелюбный персонал, идеальное расположение, на тихой улице, поэтому мы слышали шумные компании только в отдалении, и она не мешали спать. Завтрак - лично мне не хватало горячего. Не буду указывать это в минусах, так как для многих такой завтрак более чем хороший - выпечка просто выше всяких похвал, много фруктов. Просто я привыкла к кашам, блинам, омлетам и яичницам дома. Но это лично мои хотелки, мужу завтрак нравился. Слышимость есть, опять же не укажу в минус, так как это не критично было в нашем отдыхе. Staff welcoming and helpful on arrival. We stayed in a superior room, which was clean and comfortable. It was good to have a fridge in the room, with complimentary water and soft drinks. A good choice at breakfast, no problem when requesting a picnic breakfast, due to an early flight. Good location, would stay again. Despite a superior room, we did not have a balcony. |

The Superior room 301 is very nice always well cleaned by the staff. The breakfast is very good and the staff always restocking the food. All the staff were very nice. Despite a superior room, we did not have a balcony. |

Despite booking a superior deluxe double more than 4 months ahead, when we arrived, our room did not have a terrace overlooking the pool; it had no terrace and looked at the parking lot! It was worse that a cheaper standard double. Re parking, since we could not reserve a space we wound up walking 10-minute to a public parking dirt lot. They claim that parking slots now can be reserved when booking a room. |

The breakfast was very good, and the room was cleaned everyday with free drink daily, shower gel and shampoo.The pool was lovely. Very noisy at night, televisions very loud and children being allowed to run up and down corridors and slam doors. Also, a lot of noise in the early hours from outside.Signs inside of hotel asking residents to enter rooms quietly at night may help. |

The hotel was great value for money. For the price, the rooms were, clean, spacious, airconditioned, and had a lovely balcony. There was also a free mini bar! The pool and surrounding terraces were well kept, and not overcrowded - even in August. The hotel's location was fantastic - close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel! no bidet |

Near city center and beach First the toilette didn't work when we arrived, the hotel staff had to fix it, this should be checked before they provide the room to the client. Secondly our room didn't had a/c, which with a baby was terrible because we had to sleep with the window open (over 30 degrees Celsius), and all the street noise kept waking us up through the night. Thank God it was one night! |

Proximity to the beach, restaurants and shops - everything in walking distance (although I must say Tossa de Mar is so small, you would probably achieve that with most hotels). The staff was very kind and helpful. Parking was provided. Bed was super awesome, swimming pool, pool table etc. We really enjoyed everything about the trip. Everything was great. |

We loved everything. It took 5 minutes of relax walking to get to the beach and 5 minutes to get to the bus station. It was very clean, the cleaning lady checked then room everyday, staff was nice and helpfull , the morning food, even though the same for 10 days, was good and plenty. We got a superior room, as we asked, and it was with new furniture and a balcony. Nice swimming pool , clean. We can't think of any bad things . . . Must go again and check |

The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed assistance or information. The "family room" that we had was clean and with two bathrooms & sets of wardrobes etc, it gave us lots of flexibility. The hotel location was close to the beach and shops. There wasn't any air conditioning in the room, so although this didn't directly affect us, later on in the season when temperatures are higher, this might mean the room could be stuffy. We weren't supplied with bathroom mats/towels and so the tiled floor got quite wet and slippy. |
