Das südlich von Palamós gelegene Sant Antoni de Calonge ist heute ein großes Touristenzentrum, während Calonge, im Binnenland, eine interessante mittelalterliche Burg besitzt.
Von Palamós in südliche richtung führt ein ehemaliger Streifenweg entlang verschiedenen emblematischen Plätzen (wie dem Platja Torre Valentina) nach Platja d’Aro, das sich über mehr als zwei Kilometer am Strand entlang erstreckt und komplett im Dienst der Freizeitindustrie steht.
