Dit hotel wordt beheerd door een familie en ligt op 2 minuten lopen van het strand in de baai van Cadaques. Het hotel is gevestigd in een traditioneel blauw- en witgeverfd gebouw en biedt een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad en een zonneterras.
De lichte kamers van het Hotel Blaumar Cadaqués bieden een prachtig uitzicht, een rustiek interieur en traditionele Catalaanse vloeren. Sommige kamers hebben een balkon. Alle kamers beschikken over een plasmatelevisie met kabelzenders en een eigen badkamer.
Het centrum van Cadaqués, waar verschillende winkels, cafés en restaurants te vinden zijn, ligt op 10 minuten lopen van het hotel.
Het Blaumar Cadaqués biedt een gratis Wi-Fi-zone en fietsverhuur. U kunt ook een wandeltocht maken door het natuurreservaat Cap de Creus. De baai van Port-Lligat en het Casa-Museu Salvador Dalí liggen op 10 minuten loopafstand.
Tegen een toeslag kunt u gebruikmaken van privéparkeergelegenheid. Figueres ligt op 40 km afstand en Girona en de luchthaven kunnen met de auto in 70 minuten worden bereikt.
Hotel Blaumar Cadaqués is in Cadaqués
Ná de vorengenoemde plaatsen en de baaien Canyelles, Montjoi en Falconera, komt Cadaqués. Het is gelegen aan de voet van het enorme gebergte en geflankeerd door kaap Norfeu en Kaap Creus, waartussen de vriendelijke baai ligt ingesloten, beschut tegen de schaarse maar mogelijke stormen.
Het dorp heeft een buitengewoon voortreffelijke vormgeving; het bestaat uit visserswoningen en enkele huizen, gebouwd voor vaste zomergasten. Het vormt een prachtig geheel met het omliggende landschap.
Cadaqués, met zijn spierwitte huizen die op artistieke wijze contrasteren tegen de donkere bergen die als achtergrond dienen, was in werkelijkheid en is nog steeds een uitstekende verblijfplaats voor vissers en dit verklaart zijn ligging op een ongewone plaats met weinig middelen van bestaan voor de bevolking.
Het is echter een ideaal oord om te genieten van kalmte en rust, temidden van een eenvoudig en evenwichtig landschap. De baai van Cadaqués begint in Punta de Cala Nans en eindigt in Punta de s’Oliguera. De kustlijn is bezaaid met lieftallige inhammen en een overvloed aan kleine gezellige strandjes: Sa Cebolla, Sa Conca, el Llaner, el Pedritxó, Platja Gran, el Poal, els Guixos en nog veel meer.
Platja Gran behoort tot de oudste kern van de bevolking. Als men Cadaqués achter zich laat is Portlligat het eerste, onbetwistbaar opvallende hoekje wat men op zijn weg tegen komt, na Punta de s’Oliguera. Het betreft een indurkwekkende natuurlijke haven, bijna wonderbaarlijk, waar de schilder Salvador Dalí zijn huis en atelier heeft.

Not much I began to wonder, having read other reviews of this hotel, whether we had come to the same place! The room was small and only adequately furnished. The 'balcony' only had room for one [small] chair. There was no mini bar or fridge.The bed was, as usual, hard, but the worst thing of all was that the AC was turned off for the winter (in the middle of September, with OAT in the mid-20s and high humidity) which gave two 'sweaty' nights). The bathroom was small, so in order to dry oneself, one had to step outside. The mirror was too far away and the selection of toiletries poor. What was worst of all, was that there was no handle to assist old duffers to step into and out of the [over-bath] shower - someone will fall and break a leg. Everything was 'extra' - car parking, breakfast, and even if you brought your own baby cot that was €10 extra. |

The hotel is spotlessly clean, whitewash walls and mediterranean blue upholstery and trimmings. It was calm and restful, although I sensed it was a little too formal in some ways that I can't quite put my finger on. It was very quiet and I think all the rooms face over the town and to the bay of Cadaques. A short walk to the Dali house in Port Lligat too. The hotel is a little out of town but the walk is truly lovely - though less so with luggage, so not one for less than a few nights. The swimming pool is very deep which is fine for swimmers but it was overwhelming for my 7 year old who has just started. We bought her a float and it was fine, but I was surprised the hotel didn't keep floats to loan. The pool opening times were too rigid - I think 11.30am-8pm - as in summer I like to be able to have an early morning and / or late night swim. The breakfast was overpriced for what you get. |

La qualité de l’accueil,la proximité du centre du village. La propreté, très bien. Dommage qu'il manque une connexion internet dans les chambres à 130€!!! Il manque également des plats chauds au petits déjeuner ( oeufs, omelette...). |
