Comfortable bed. Room very clean and spaceous. Location of hotel excellent, <5 mins walk to Train / Bus Station and to Ramblas. Lovely meal in the hotel Restaurant. Didnt go for the hotel breakfast as there are plenty of Cafe's close by. Girona restored my faith in southern Spain, great place for a short break, plenty to see and do in the city and surrounding area. Will definately return and stay in the Carlemany. Would have liked Tea / Coffee making facility in room. |

The location & the hotel itself we could not fault, although the hotels bar closes at 9.30pm the is a very good bar & restaurant attached, this serves very good food & tapas and closes very late so is very handy, the old part of Girona, cathedral etc is within walking distance. Girona itself is an interesting and very clean town, we enjoyed our stay. . The staff, they are very unhelpful, they got our rates wrong & would not correct their mistake & the rates, we are taking this further, have never known anything like this and do a lot of travelling, such a shame as this put a blight on our stay |

The lady cleaning my room did a first class job, while one of the ladies on the front desk gave me great assistance in trying to book a train journey ... by and large, I couldn't fault the hotel. The fact that I wasn't able to cancel my first night well in advance, even though I couldn't get to Girona. I was also disappointed and surprised that my booking didn't include breakfast. This wasn't made clear to me when I booked through booking.com ... Of course, I should have booked directly with the hotel. |

Upscale hotel with central quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast has been debated, it was for us included in the room price. Got a rich buffet breakfast almost as good as it gets. Hot and cold diches af a great variety, although not that many vegetarian options. But 5 sorts of juice. 10+ sorts of youghurt and so on. Only the bread section could have been more comprehensive, would prefer more of full grain varieties. A recommendable stay. The fact that I wasn't able to cancel my first night well in advance, even though I couldn't get to Girona. I was also disappointed and surprised that my booking didn't include breakfast. This wasn't made clear to me when I booked through booking.com ... Of course, I should have booked directly with the hotel. |

Size of the room for 2 adults and a 10 year old was excellent. Window overlooking the square was fantastic. Big bathroom with excellent shower. Good checkout time of 12. Helpfully stored our bags when we arrived before our room was ready. So close to bus/ train station. Not far from old town. There was no helpful literature inside the room to help us know what was nearby although we did have a map offered to us when we asked at reception. Such a shame there were no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Breakfast should have been included in price. |

Excellent location in the shopping area, but an easy, pleasant walk to the Placa de Independencia, a beautiful colonnaded square and the old town. Girona exceeded my expectations: this Catalan, fabulous city and home to the best restaurant in the world. A big plus was the underground parking at the hotel. A very helpful attendant. The reception staff were very helpful and provided us with a map of the city and highlighted areas of interest. Loved Girona. Very photogenic. I enjoyed coffee and people-watching at the Cafe Royal, and supper at Le Bistrot and Curcuma. All positive. |

Well equipped bathroom, larger than usual hotel bath. Good size room. Room service excellent, arrived in approx 10 minutes, very good quality food. Outside terrace ideal for small breakfast. Indigo restaurant menu excellent for lunch, good choices. The evening menus were also excellent, well presented, well cooked. Excellent location for shops, old town and meandering through this charming town. Only one sit up chair in bedroom, could do with an additional easy chair. |

A great overnight stay in Girona, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, big bathrooms and air conditioning that worked. We walked to placa Indepencia for tapas and had supper in the restaurant. There is a large choice of varied dishes on the menu and the food and service was very good, prices were reasonable too. Try the salmon tataki! For a family of 5 breakfast is too expensive at 14€ each. |

Clean, very good location near the city center, new hotel, free wifi Too expensive breakfast(dont buy it, you can find better-cheaper in town).one bad thing that doesnt have to do with the hotel but rather with the town is that the city offers very few sights, so I would recommend staying no more than 1 night (max).perhaps its better to visit girona as a day trip rather than staying there |

Staff were wonderful; friendly and efficient. They helped to make my 50th birthday one of the best I've ever spent. The room was extremely comfortable (beds, size, bathroom and cleanliness). I also have to say that the bistro staff were great, and would recommend trying the rice dishes. This is one of the most comfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. Would have been nice to know that the main restraunt was not open. |
