Aquest hostal tradicional de gestió familiar es troba a 400 metres del Teatre-Museu Dalí i a 5 minuts a peu del centre històric. Ofereix habitacions acollidores amb TV i internet Wi-Fi gratuïta.
Les habitacions de l'Hostal Sanmar presenten una decoració modesta i funcional i inclouen un ventilador, calefacció central i bany privat.
Al bar cafeteria de l'hostal se serveixen esmorzars i a 5 minuts a peu trobareu restaurants, botigues i bars.
El Sanmar és a 8 minuts a peu de l'església gòtica de Sant Pere i a 2 km del castell de Sant Ferran. Les platges de Roses i l'Escala són a 25 km.
Als voltants de l'hostal hi ha aparcament públic gratuït al carrer. També podreu sol·licitar aparcament privat per un suplement. L'establiment és a 40 km de Girona i a 40 minuts amb cotxe de l'aeroport de Girona.
Hostal Sanmar es troba a Figueres
Figueres, una ciutat per a un pintor Dalí fa honor a la capacitat inventiva de la capital de l’Alt Empordà. I és que Figueres és cap i casal de la tramuntana, aquest vent amb atributs de genialitat. Ciutat mitjana situada a la plana empordanesa, és una capital des de temps moderns.
Capital de la comarca de l’Alt Empordà, Figueres és la ciutat més important de Catalunya propera a la frontera francesa (que es troba a uns 15 kms), amb una població total d’unes 45.000 persones. Degut a aquesta estratègica situació la ciutat ha esdevingut un important node de comunicacions dels turistes que entren i surten d’Espanya.
Les vies d’accés a Figueres són diverses, i totes destaquen per la seva bona qualitat. Per carretera s’accedeix a ella fàcilment per l’autopista A-7 (sortida número 3). També la carretera nacional N-II i la N-260 son vies que passen per Figueres. Si arriba per tren, ha de saber que l’estació de Figueres es troba en el centre de la població i que és parada de la línea que uneix Barcelona amb Portbou. Actualment ja és possible arribar a Figueres des de París en AVE, tren d’alta velocitat.
Figueres és una ciutat de tradició republicana que va créixer al voltant de la Rambla, un passeig urbà amb cafès històrics com el de l’antic Hotel París, i una ruta d’edificis modernistes i noucentistes (destaca el teatre El Jardí).
L’oferta de museus de la ciutat invoca el gust pel descobriment. El Museu del Joguet té una curiosa col·lecció de joguines de tots els temps. El Museu de l’Empordà ofereix un viatge pel llegat artístic d’aquesta terra enriquit amb un espai per a l’art contemporani més actual. El Museu de la Tècnica exposa objectes que ens han fet la vida més fàcil.
Indubtablement, un dels principals atractius turístics de Figueres és el museu Dalí, espai en què el gran geni va voler plasmar el més emblemàtic de la seva obra. Inaugurat el 1974, aquest Teatre-Museu (donat que originalment va ser el teatre municipal de la ciutat) és dels més visitats a tot Catalunya. Ha estat concebut per oferir el visitant un compendi complet de l’obra del pintor Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), i realment aconsegueix oferir una imatge única i captivadora al visitant sobre l’obra de l’artista. Al Teatre-Museu hi trobareu cotxes on plou eternament al seu interior, hologrames impossibles, llavis de dona que fan de sofà... i així, fins a 1500 peces. Dalí hi és enterrat.
Però, tot i que la visita a aquest extraordinari museu justifiqui la seva presència a Figueres, l’oferta cultural no es deté aquí. El Castell de Sant Ferran és una fortificació militar construïda el segle XVIII per enginyers militars. Les seves dimensions són impressionants (les més gran d’Europa per la seva època), amb un perímetre de 3.120 metres i una superfície de 32 hectàrees. Estava preparada per acollir fins 6.000 soldats. Des del 1997 el castell fortificat pot ser visitat, per la qual cosa un passeig pel recinte (que inclou dipòsits, cavallerisses i altres estances) és absolutament recomanable. La visita al soterrani, un dipòsit d’aigua de 40 milions de litres, és una experiència digna dels relats dels grans viatgers.
Ja en el centre de la ciutat visiti la Rambla, la seva via principal. Es tracta de l’espai urbà més emblemàtic, autèntic eix comercial de Figueres. Al voltant d’ella es concentren els edificis més interessants de la ciutat, amb diversos estils arquitectònics: barrocs, clàssics, neoclàssics, modernistes, art nouveau, noucentistes... la Rambla està coronada per una esculptura dedicada a uns dels fills insignes de la vila: Narcís Monturiol, l’inventor del primer submarí: l’Ictineu.
A Figueres s’hi menja bé, amb cuines cèlebres i altres de nova generació. Al mercat de la plaça coberta hi arriben tots els productes naturals de la zona.

Vàrem reservar una habitació doble i ens van donar un petit apartament (sense cuina i cap estri). Ubicació, facilitat d'aparcament i wifi gratuït i amb bona senyal. Il·luminació del sostre deficient. No hi ha llums petits a les tauletes de nit ni cap altra opció: impossible llegir a la nit ni a la sala ni a l'habitació Cap got (ni de plàstic) per poder beure una mica d'aigua. |

It has two locations, and we stayed in the new building which is a couple of blocks away from the reception. The room we got is very spacious, with separate living room and bedroom, great view on the top floor. The room is clean and tidy. Great location, just several minutes walk to the town centre. The only problem we had is that there was NO wifi in the entire building as claimed. We need the internet to make a booking at night, we managed to talk to a guy at the reception, which was closed at 10pm. He said he would turn on the wifi for the building we stayed and let us try again, but it still never worked. |

Good value for Figueres. Some may say the furnishings are old and a litle tired, but they are functional and clean. Neds a little maintenance in bits but I can recommend. Antonio and his brother run a great place and are most helpful. Noisy inside, paper-thin walls and every time somebody had a shower there was a terrible noise. The windows weren't soundproof, and the shutters were noisy on a windy day. Only one, uncomfortable pillow for a "kingsize", but short bed. Very basic breakfast. |

Location was excellent for getting around and the room, or should I say suit was large and good. The staff wS very nice and the breakfast was ok for the price but simple. Unfortunately because I traveled in February and there was only a small heater in the bed room I did not benefit from the rest of the suit as it was freezing at night. The whole place in General was very clean except the bed which had a bunch of hairs in it. |

We were given an apartment which had a separate lounge although the kitchen was not functioning. The host is friendlt and accommodating. Breakfast was 4euros and represented excellent value. Location was walkable to Vilafant station. Very close to Dali museum and the old city and shopping area. If going to Figueres, this hotel is very good value for money. Book ahaed as it is popular! Je suis allé dans beaucoup d’hôtel en France, mais aucun ne vaut celui la !! nous avons réservé à 21h15 sur booking, a notre arrivé nous avons était chaleureusement accueillie. Le responsable nous à mené dans un hôtel situé a 100 mètres de la réception et la ! quel surprise !! ce ne sont pas des chambres d’hôtel mais des appartements ! Extrêmement propre, très spacieux tout équipé ( canapé, meuble, tv, table et chaises baignoire ... ) nous avons était extrêmement surpris et avons prolongé notre séjour d'un jour supplémentaire ! pour 40€ pourquoi se privé ???!!! Petit déjeuné copieux pour 4€ par personne ... ne vous fié pas aux photos elle ne correspondent pas a la réalité !! L’hôtel est situé au centre de Figuères je le recommande vivement ! Rien |

El hostal està muy bien ubicado, a dos calles del centro de la ciudad y con una gran zona de aparcamiento sin pagar. La atención fué correcta, habíamos contractado una habitación doble y por el mismo precio nos alojaron en un apartamento de construcción nueva, con todos los servicios básicos y muy limpio. Sólo había una pequeña estufa en la habitación de matrimonio, a lo mejor, insuficiente para un día de mucho frío. |

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück für 4 Euro hat meine Erwartungen stark übertroffen. Es gab ein leckeres, knuspriges, frisches Riesencroissant; frisches Obst, Kaffee oder heiße Schokolade vom Barpersonal (nicht ein einfacher Automat), Müsli, Joghurt. Das Zimmer war riesig. Nachdem ich ein Einzelzimmer gebucht habe, hab ich eine große Wohnung erhalten mit Doppelbett. Handtücher waren auch enthalten, was für ein Hostel nicht immer normal ist. Die Lage ist wirklich super. Nur zwei Gehminuten vom Dali-Theater Museum. Hacia frio en la habitación, la calefacción la ponen poco y las habitaciones son frias. |

Stuff is friendly and helpful, the location of the hostal is ideal for those who would like to visit the Dalí museum and theatre. It was recommended by the stuff to visit the museum early (9-10 am) to avoid the crowd, we took this advice and were really happy when seeing how crowded it got after 10-11am. The room was surprisingly huge (it had a separate living room with a sofa), but it was too hot despite of our visit being in September. You can choose between the shades being down and no air coming in, or alternatively letting the air in and being visible to the neighbourhood.. Also, there was cigarette smoke coming in all the time, which of course is not the hostel's fault, but can be disturnig. I would defintely stay there, though, in case I would visit Dali's masterpieces again. |

Comfortable clean room with helpful staff. Very close to Dali museum and shops. Perfect for a one or two night stay to check out the city. Free street parking available close by. It was very hot when we were there and the room did not have air con. We knew this when we booked though so it was fine. If staying more than a night or two in summer would recommend air con for comfort. |

Hostel is very nice and very close to Dali's and Old Town. Room turned to be 2 bedroom flat and was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed staing there. Do not go here in summer. Salvador Dali Museum is a few minutes away Help and advice for local trips and routes Bicycle is allowed into the main reception/Bar area in an out-of-the-way place Proximity to Rosas/Roses where the european- express bus back through France to Northern England starts/stops a Banos or Mini (hip) bath and shower No conditioner. |

I could take my touring bike into the reception bar area So close to the Dali Museum and the Ramblas I got lots of friendly help about cycling nearby close to Rosas/Roses where the european express bus back to uk starts/stops No conditioner. |

We booked a twin room and got a two bedroom apartment with separate living area. Cheap, relatively clean, comfortable. No elevators, no air conditioning. Wifi doesn't work in rooms, only in the first floor hallway. The reception area is a few blocks away making checking out/ storing luggage more inconvenient. |

Bed sheets had stains on Area felt unsafe after dark Walls too thin, could hear EVERYTHING... Shower didn't work, nothing done about it |

the staff were friendly and very helpful, despite the language barrier. the bedroom had a wide view of the city and the best was amazingly comfortable. The shower was hot, perfect temperature. It was only a 5 minute walk to the Dali museum. The shower head in my room didn't seem to fit into the holder, so I had to hold it. That's all. |

Close to city centre. This hostal is a joke. It's stinking every where in the romm, in the hall, in the bathroom. Everything is very old or broken. The bathroom is the worst i have ever seen and whilst i travel a lot. It's in the size for hobbits i guess. The room was cold and you can;t close the roller blind coz it's broken. I will never go there again !!! |

Good staff; central location; interesting overall look Noisy inside, paper-thin walls and every time somebody had a shower there was a terrible noise. The windows weren't soundproof, and the shutters were noisy on a windy day. Only one, uncomfortable pillow for a "kingsize", but short bed. Very basic breakfast. |
