Traditie, kwaliteit en persoonlijke service - dat zijn de kenmerken waar het hotel bekend om staat. Hotel Rosa bevindt zich in het centrum van Begur, een stad die zonder twijfel de mooiste is in Baix Empordà en nauw verbonden is met de zee.

Begur is een prachtig dorpje in het hart van de Costa Brava, gelegen in het massiefvan de zelfde naam. In zijn stad, gedomineerd door de elfde-eeuwse kasteel, zijn stranden zo beroemd als Aiguablava, Sa Tuna, Sa Riera, Aiguafreda, Platja Fonda of Fornells. In het centrum van de stad zijn er sporen van de Indiasearchitectuur, van de negentiende eeuw.
Hoewel het iets van de kust verwijderd ligt, vormt her een kruispunt van een aantal wegen en het uitgangspunt naar één van de meest interessante en prachtige plekjes van de kust. Begur ligt op zo'n 6 km. ten noorden van Palafrugell, vóór de berg met dezelfde naam, waardoor het niet alleen meteen herkenbaar is, zelfs op verre afstand, maak ook een niet te evenaren uitzicht heeft. Vanaf hep op de rotsen gebouwde kasteel dat het dorp dominiert, rijkt het vergezicht in noordelijke richting tot de golf van Roses met de eilandengroep Medes. In zuidelijke richting Platja Fonda, Cap Rubí, Fornells, Isla Blanca, Aiguablava, en puntjes van Es Mut, Quart en Sa Rubia.
Het kasteel dat aan Begur zijn karasteristiek profiel geeft dateert uit de XVIIe eeuw en is gebouwd op de ruines van een middleeeuws fort, verwoest in het jaar 1465. Het dorp heeft nog hele typische oude straatjes en verschillende torens "de piratas" of "de moros" geheten. De kaap waarop Begur sich vereheft bestaat uit een enorme geologische massa die loodrecht in zee valt, met dan vier inhammen, vier kleine baaitjes, waaraande hoogte van de berg, de dichte begroeling, en hoge smalle vorm een fantastisch en melancholiek tintje geven.
In de kleine, meest zuidelijke baaien Fornells en Aiguablava, biedt Cap de Begur het beste beeld van een toeristiche kust en verblijfplaats voor zomergasten, die bovendien uitgerust es met een belagrijke groep hotels en een onvergetelijk landschap. Noordwaarts verschijnt de ingang van Platja Sa Tuna al en de als eeen fjord, ver het land indringende baai, Aiguafreda met een schoon strand en een haventje. Sa Tuna, een goed aanlegplaats voor vissen boten en pleziervaartuigen, is al van oudsher een zeer geliefd strand. Behalve een in eelkar gedrongen gevel van kleine huisjes aan zee, heeft Sa Tuna vestingen uit de XVI eeuw. Het groen van de dicht op elkaar groeiende pijnbomen, meer landinwaarts, is een andere aaatrekkelijkheid.
Nog verder naar het noorden, na Aiguafreda, heeft men een prachtig ruim gebouw opgetrokken in de berghelling van Cap Sa Sal en tussen het groene bos. Een anderen strand dat men vanuit Begur kan bereiken is Sa Riera. Hier bestaat nog een echte vissesburt die langzamerhand vergangen wordt door meer moderne zomerhuisjes.

Centraal gelegen vriendelijk , beetje ouderwets gedateerd hotel, wat toch enige charme heeft. Kamer schoon, goede badkamer. Ontbijt was helemaal top. Cijfer 8.8 voor het totale plaatje. In omgeving hotel veel restaurants. Wij hadden de kamer met terras, en deze ligt dicht bij de lift die snachts behoorlijk piept.En dan ook nog ieder uur een kerkklok!. |

Nos alojamos 1 noche, concretamente del 28 al 29 de diciembre con nuestro bebé de 20 meses, habitación 12. El trato fue exquisito, una habitación sencilla pero con todos los detalles para que te sientas como en casa, un desayuno completo con productos de la tierra y la ubicación inmejorable, en el centro de la Vila. El desayuno una pasadas, productos de calidad: embutido para que te cortes tu no las tipicas lonchas de embutido, pan reciente hecho, una tortilla de patata con pimientos y/o cebolla para chuparte los dedos, bollería casera, buen cafe, agua, zumos, frutas, yogur, flanes, natillas, cereales. Un desayuno con gran variedad y calidad. La habitación es exactamente como la ves. Si reservas la estandar es tal como lo ves, con sus silloncitos y ventana. Incluso tienes bañera de hidromasaje. La atención del personal es estupenda, nos informaron de todo lo que queriamos ver tanto de Begur y sus playas como pueblos de alrededores e incluso Girona, facilitandonos mapas, donde podiamos aparcar en cada sitio, la señorita Pilar muy amable en todo. Tiene wifi gratis El hotel está en zona peatonal, pero creo que se puede llegar con coche para dejar las maletas. Nosotros no usamos su parking pero esta un par de calles más allá. Existe la posibilidad de aparcar por la zona gratis como a 5-10 minutos andando y sino a 2-3 minutos hay un parking publico. Una estancia muy agradable, un pueblo muy bonito y muy tranquilo y un personal estupendo en el hotel. He echado de menos una minineverita para meter algo de agua fresquita. Si la habitación tuviera una terracita o balcon para colgar el biquini y la toalla estaría genial. Habia habitaciones con terraza, así que si lo valoras mucho cuando reserves reservate la habitación con terraza |

We were looking for a hotel in a small town on the Costa Brava away from the high rises and we found it. Hotel Rosa is located in the middle of an old hilltop town. Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was vey good with something for everyone. Rooms were a comfortable size with a great bath and shower. The church bell ringing added some additional charm but was easily blocked out by closing the window. Finding the hotel was a little difficult but the fact that it was tucked away is really part of the charm. Parking is a bit of a walk and could be a problem for those with mobility issues. Traveling light with wheels on luggage certainly helped. |

Y la fonda carner donde se desayuna extraordinaria tanto la calidad del producto como la anteción del servicio. Hicimos una cena de cumpleaños y fueron detallistas con el postre. Muy recomendable. Se agradece la amabilidad de la gente, hoy en dia es muy necesaria. Que en la zona no es fácil aparcar y a partir de junio el parking se convierte en zona de pago, pero no es culpa del hotel. |

The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff spoke excellent English and went out of their way to help us. The breakfast was superb. The streets are really narrow for driving which made it difficult to drop our suitcases at the hotel. |

Kiva sijainti keskellä vanhaa Begurin kaupunkia. Ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Autoilijalle hieman ongelmallinen, sillä paikoitus joko kadun varrella tai paikoitushalleissa, joihin välimatkaa ja isojen matkalaukkujen kanssa hotelliin tulo/lähtö hankalaa. Pieni idyllinen hotelli, jossa hyvä hinta/laatu-suhde. Begurin kylä on vierailun arvoinen! Ravintola- ym. Palvelut ovat erillään itse hotellirakennuksesta, koska Begurin pieni kylä ei sitä mahdollista (tällehän asialle ei voi mitään). Tämä ei kuitenkaan aiheuta ylitse pääsemätöntä ongelmaa. |
