Verblijf in het hart van Lloret de Mar
Het Hostal Mary ligt op 400 meter van het strand van Lloret en heeft kamers met airconditioning, een flatscreen-tv en gratis WiFi. Dit pension met een goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding beschikt ook over een restaurant, een snackbar en een 24 uursreceptie.
Alle kamers van het Hostal Mary zijn voorzien van houten vloeren en een eigen badkamer. Sommige kamers hebben een klein balkon. Kluisjes zijn te huur.
In het restaurant van het Mary worden een verscheidenheid aan broodjes en warme maaltijden en een dagmenu geserveerd. In de buurt van het pension vindt u ook veel restaurants.
Het Hostal Mary ligt in het centrum van Lloret, op slechts 200 meter van de populairste disco's en bars van de badplaats. Busstation Lloret ligt op 100 meter van het pension en is aangesloten op de luchthaven Girona en op Barcelona.

Lloret de Mar is een ander belangrijk stadje van de Costa Brava en bovendien het vertrekpunt voor tochtjes naar prachtige plekjes.
Om va Santa Cristina naar Lloret de Mar te gaan moet men terug naar de hoofdweg via een zijweg die door een zacht glooiend, bekoorlijk landschap loopt. Als we dezelfde afstand over zee zouden afleggen zouden we langs de baai La Boadella en het eindlandje Illa dels Bots komen en de Punta del Canó, die naast buitenge-eigendom van doctor Raul Roviralta. Het is gebouwt in een veritaliaanste steil. Die schilder Domènec Carles heeft aan de bouw en decoratie ervan meegewerkt. In deze villa worden zeer waardevolle collecties, tapijten, schilderijen, miniaturen van schepen, en catalaanse ceramiek met zeemotieven bewaard. De tuinen met naar zee afdalende paadjes en trappen zijn op zich alleen al een verrukking.
Ten oosten verheft zich Santa Clotilde over Playa Fenals, een ruime ontzettend heldere baai waarmen gezellig kan zwemmen. Aan de noordelijke kant van dit strand bevinden zich de rotsachtige punt van Fenals en die van Banys, gevolgd door de rots van La Calavera, een verbastering van La Carabel·la (een lang en smal vaartuig met drie masten, gelijk aan dat waarmee Columbus zijn ontdekkingsreizen maakte) en de zuidoost punt van het, om vele motieven beroemde strand van Lloret de Mar.
Lloret de Mar is net als Blanes een iberische nederzetting, een comercieel centrum voor de grieken, verblijfplaats voor de romeinse zeevaarders, enz. en de geschiedenis gaat terug tot prehistorische tijden.
Actueel is Lloret de Mar een belangrijk toeristencentrum met 108 hotels, ondanks het feit dat de bevolking slechts iets meer dan 18.000 inwoners telt. Van de andere kant blijft deze goed geurbanisieerde gemeente zijn eeuwig karakter van een kleine stad met zeetradities behouden.
Vanaf Lloret de Mar begint de kust steeds wilder te worden en de wegen steeds minder gemakkelijk. De weg die de verbinding met Tossa de Mar vormt loopt noodgedwongen ver van de zee af, over de bergtoppen. Aan de kust, in aansluiting op Lloret de Mar, bevindt zich La Caleta, vanwaar men via een weggetje “dels Frares” geheten, in Cala d’en Trons aankomt.
Als men de kust over land verder wil volgen moet men langs een eenvoudig, tussen pijnbossen en akkers slingerend pad. Op deze manier kunnen we tot Cala Simo komen en als we dan over nóg een heuvel klimmen, tot Cala Gran. Wet verderop bevindt zich Punta de la Guaita, met daarachter het vriendelijke strand Playa de Canyelles en de niet minder prachtige en gezellige Cala Treumal en Cala Santa Cristina.

Voor de prijs wat ik betaalde is de kamer vergeleken bij andere hotels best wel luxe en schoon. De kamer die ik had was behalve een flat-screen TV en een ruime badkamer ook voorzien van een Frans balkon. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, voornamelijk de manager. Als ze mij nodig heeft of ik haar, noemde ze me altijd bij m'n voornaam. In de bar beneden waar ik een ontbijt nam duurde sommige afhandelingen best wel lang, bijvoorbeeld met het afrekenen. |

Zeer hartelijk ontvangst. De gastvrouw is een fantastische vrouw die haar gasten koestert. Uitstekende ligging. Netheid in de badkamer kan beter. Het rumoer die sommige ladderzatte gasten midden in de nacht de andere gasten uit hun slaap halen maar daar kan de gastvrouw natuurlijk niet aan doen. |

Very clean, helpful and friendly staff, nice spacious bathrooms, good food in the bar downstairs, excellent location - in a walking distance from the bus station and the beach. A bit noisy in the morning, since our room faced the street, next time when booking I would just write my preference to be given a room facing another side of the building. One more thing, just a recommendation - you should place a sign at the other entrance that the hostel can be entered through the bar, otherwise travelers would disturb you at your private place and would feel uncomfortable for doing so. |

Central location close to the main road and the shopping streets. I personally wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, say 1 week. Отличный отель. Брали 2 двухместных номера. В номерах есть кондиционеры, сейфы (за отдельную плату), туалет, душ. В номерах убирались каждый день (правда постель за семь дней ни разу не меняли), полотенца каждый день новые. Приветливый персонал . Приехали в отель ночью и не могли его найти (хотя находится на самом видном месте :-) ), так ночной дежурный, услышав издалека русскую речь, прибежал к нам и провел до отеля) Очень хороший ресторанчик на первом этаже. Мы там завтракали и по возможности обедали. До моря 3 минуты пешком, по пешеходной торговой улице. Не знаю почему хостел, в Польше на такие вешают не менее 3 звёзд. Единственный минус это шум, но это скорее относится не к отелю, а к городу. Очень много молодёжи, которая куралесит всю ночь и спокойно разговаривать не умеет в принципе. |

Die Lage & Preisleistungsverhältnis! Internetverbindung sehr schwach bzw. immer wieder unterbrochen! Hygiene und Sauberkeit absolutes Manko! Am Anreisetag ist alles super sauber gewesen. Doch die Folgetage wurde der Boden und die Bettdecken grundsätzlich nicht ausgetauscht bzw. gereinigt. Bei 10-Tage Buchung sah der Boden und die Bettdecken nicht mehr so toll aus! Wir müssten die Putzfrau zweimal drauf ansprechen damit der Boden wieder sauber wurde. Abgesehen davon gab es auch keine seifen...Mein Fazit: Insgesamt ein schönes Hostal mit einer zentralen Lage und einem guten Preisleistungsverhältnis. Aber Hygiene und Sauberkeit gibt es nur am Anreisetag! Wie bereits erwähnt keine bzw. sehr schwache Internetverbindung! Und zum schluss war das Personal nicht wirklich deutschsprachig wie öfters hier erwähnt. Die einzige die Deutsch konnte war die Besitzerin selbst und das meiste davon auswendige Texte! Einfache fragen wie, wo finden wir ein Parkhaus für 10 Nächte usw. mussten wir dann doch mit Hand und Fuß erklären. Aber nachdem Sie uns verstanden hat war Sie immerhin so nett und hat uns zum nächsten Parkhaus persönlich hingebracht. |

Очень высокий уровень для обычного хостела. Номера легко тянут на 3-4 звезды: просторная комната, большая ванна, полотенца, кондиционер, телевизор, сейф в номере, интернет бесплатно. Расположен в двух шагах от туристической активности Льорета, в семи минутах от пляжа, в пяти минутах от автовокзала, то есть что бы вам ни понадобилось - всё близко и удобно. Уборка каждый день, при возникновении вопросов реакция почти мгновенная, после чекаута позволяют оставить вещи в закрытой на ключ кладовке на остаток дня. Хорошо работают, молодцы! Мыла в номере не оказалось, оно не предусмотрено, но администратор быстро притащила откуда-то большую бадью геля для душа, что полностью нас удовлетворило. Всю ночь под окнами гудели немцы, нарушая спокойный сон, но это бич всех курортных городков типа Льорета |

Hotel set away from the loud bars and nightlife. Friendly staff and your left alone to enjoy your stay. There is always one or two who spoil the hotel. Slamming doors and shouting at every opportunity. |
