The Hotel is situated on top of a hill but this makes it peaceful with a fantastic sense of history.

As is normal with a medieval town the cathedral bell tolls hourly so just take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The location in the central of the Jewish quarter, next to the cathedral and the wall. Very convenient to obtain groceries or to shop or eat out.

It was very noisy due to construction. Visitors should be warned about the cathedral bells being rung every hour, and sometimes half or quarter hour, as well, sometimes there were two bells. The kitchen utensils (i.e., pans) were not functional. The knives were not sharp.

The location , staff and value were fantastic. I have never been in a hotel whose star rating was so low but whose quality deserved a 5 star rating. I can recommend this hotel unreservidly and should I return to Barcelona will undoubtedly stay there.

Beautiful place to stay in the heart of the old district. Quaint, romantic, and yet perfect for our family. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend

We loved the place, but if your looking for a typical American Hotel stay away. In fact, stay away from most of the best parts of Spain!

Location. Doorman/front desk staff with good English skills, pleasant

2 star by US standards for the quality of the hotel room - American double bed. Kitchenette had a gas range but no automatic lighter or matches. Radiators took 24 hours to adjust. Room was freezing in early December the whole first day and night, requiring wearing heaviest coat in the room while reading, and putting wearing the blanket from the bed too. No safe, no hair dryer.

Friendly, helpful owners. Excellent location if you want to be near Cathedral/Jewish Call area. Apartment furniture a little thread-weary but very spacious, comfortable and good value for money.

Not a negative for us: We knew church bells ring every 1/4 hr; this did not bother us. Light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs.

Great location in a lovely city that is worth a visit. Beautiful old building.

Lackluster service. We had numerous interactions with the man at reception desk -perfunctory at best. Definite sense of not being particularly welcome. We are a gay american couple. Contrasts to other reviews which extol the warmth of the owners. Also we were promised that someone would be at the desk to call us a cab at 8am for our 9am train. Not so. At twenty past we figured we were on our own. It's about twenty minutes on foot through cobblestone streets to get there. Fortunately we knew the way. We made it but no need for the extra adventure.

The breakfast room was not ready as we showed up after the opening time. The lights were no open in the dining room, long wait and most of all the man attitude didn't make us feel that he was happy to serve us. We didn't feel welcome at all. Bad way to start a day!

Pleasant surroundings eg near cathedral, arabic baths and old quarter. Helpful manager.

No air con which made it difficult to sleep at night (fans not really sufficient in the heat of August). Stayed in one of the apartments which could have been better equipped for self catering eg basic cutlery and crockery needs improving. Bathroom could do with updating (broken tiles around bath). These comments only relate to the apartments not the hotel proper.

This hotel was nearly impossible for us to find. You have to end up going the wrong way down a one- way street to get to the hotel. We needed to actually hire a taxi to get us to the hotel. Maybe we came the worng way but that was also what the taxi had to do to get us there. The location, across for a parador and next to the historical Cathedral was excellent.

He gave us great recommendations for places to see while in Girona, as well as provided great restaurant recommendations We were able to go to three of the restaurants he recommended, and they were all fantastic. Location is perfect as it's in the heart of the old city and is quiet.

The man on the desk didn't offer to help take any of our bags to the room even though he was accompanying us there and was younger than us. It's rather over priced and the room hadn't been cleaned one day by 12.45pm. When this was pointed out he merely said they were busy when of course he (as he was the owner) should employ more staff at such times. After that he wasn't at all friendly even though we were perfectly polite.

Helpful and friendly owners, large and comfortable apartment, location in the heart of the old city and near the cathedral.

The hotel is at the top of the hill, with steep climbs. Was ok for us, but some people might find it tiring. Taxi from the restaurant areas or the station is €6 to 8, so it is not an insurmountable problem.

What a treat so stay in such beautiful, comfortable surroundings in the middle of the fabulous old town of Girona. The owner was extremely helpful and we only wished we could have stayed longer.

Bed could have been more comfortable, cathedral & church bells will disrupt your sleep (take earplugs!).
