During the Gastronomic Campaign Garoinada you can taste the best examples of garoines shellfish, freshly picked at this time of year, between January and March, when they have a big and tasty pulp. Then Palafrugell restaurants offer special menus that contain this variety of sea urchin, and other typical local specialties such as Ampurdan wine, botifarres, a speciality called 'is niu', etc. Weekends boat tours are also offered by the coast of Calella de Palafrugell villages, including garoines and wine or champaign tastes.
